Thats just because it was the second game in two nights, the whole team looked a step slower and a little less physical. Nothing to get worried about

Gilroy has look very poised since being paired with McDonagh, and what's nice about our defenseman getting hurt is that players like Eminger and Sauer need to step up and play bigger minutes. That way when everyone's healthy we will have 3 very good pairs.
I dont think Gaborik looked that bad tonight.

Gabby wasn't that bad, but he still turns the puck over fairly easy.

It'll be interesting to see if Gilroy sits and McDonagh plays when Rozy comes back.

I saw him shy away from contact multiple times, turn the puck over because he is so bad at protecting it. He also gave away the puck a ton.

I'm not making any long term statements, because we have all seen what he is capable of when he is on, however I thought he was pretty bad tonight.

bad penalties could've cost us, but our pk is solid. so good work there.

avery was really credited for that goal? from the replays i saw, switching in and out with the jets/colts game, it looked like gaborik's shot crossed the line before avery knocked it in.

You seem to brush over the part when he came back HARD and negated an odd man rush and deflected a shot from the point with under 5 minutes left in the third.

I am not saying crown the guy......but tonight was a good effort from him.

That 4 minute PK was just a textbook effort and won the game for us, an incredible, team effort that really showed what this team has been about all year long.

Staal, Girardi, Dubinsky, Anisimov and Prust just continue to consistently carry us and show that they are our core.

In previous years Staal, Girardi and Dubinsky would show flashes of play like this, but this year they've settled in and done it night after night after night, and that has been huge for this team.

The Blues Feed showed an overhead angle and the puck did not cross the line entirely on Gabby's chance.

It seems like NHL on the Fly is just skipping the Rangers game on purpose.

We really have no kid forwards left in Hartford worthy of a callup if Fro is out for any extended period of time.

May just dress 7 dmen for awhile, or call up Williams.

Pretty boring game: we had to kill off a bunch of penalties including a 5 on 3 and a double minor but our PK was great. 2 goals- first one was a beautiful passing play between zucca dubi and step that ended in step deke-ing halak. 2nd goal was a great pass from dubi to gabs, gabs hit the crossbar then avery slam-dunked in the rebound

I wouldn't mind that at all, the way Torts has been playing the top 3 lines, a seventh dman might serve better.

Grachev... he was already up and plays a similar game to Frolov.

Saw the highlights, SICK SICK SICKKK sneaky pass by MZA on stepan's goal, reminds me alot of MSL.

Question though, why are they awarding avery with the 2nd goal? It clearly shows gabby's shot went passed the line.

It was shown from several different angles, and while it from the front looked like it was over the line, an overhead shot (i think it was) shoved that the puck never completely crossed the goal line.

But then Avery buried it

Yeah I think he gets called up if Frolov is out. Grachev played well in a 4th line role when he got called up earlier in the season.
