#2/#3 Center to the Hawks

- Rental with 3.5 million Cap Hit at the start of the season or less
- 1 yr left with 2.5 million Cap Hit at the start of the season or less
- longer contract with 1.8 million Cap Hit at the start of the season or less

Hawks would offer

- 2nd Rounder or later Picks

- Prospect not named Olsen, Leddy, Lalonde, Beach, Pirri, Krüger and Morin

- if the offer is good, Skille or Stalberg could be included

Brendan Morrison could be a good get from the flames on a cheap and expiring contract.

...Jokinen would actually be good if his role was a 3rd line center. Or Morrison.

With Bolland on team we aren't acquiring a #3 C

We need a #2 to be able to move Sharp back to LW ,,,, Only #2 C in NHL that is appealing is Grabovski but it is unlikely the Leafs move him at this time

Jokinen= Puke

Grabo isn't the only one, you fell in love with him, this is the reason you want him that much

I was thinking something along the lines of Boston's/Montreal's 2nd rounder and Repik

i would DEFINITELY be on the Mike Fisher bandwagon

only thing is that i wouldnt want to give up Olsen, Leddy, Morin or Beach

i wouldn't mind a trade of:

Lalonde, Pirri, Skille, and a 2nd round pick for Fisher

would have to waive Boyton and Johnson for it work this season salary wise

And this helps Hawks how?

Fisher is a 4.2 mil #3 C ,,,, We already have a 3.2 mil #3 C

And your Cap info is wrong ,, Hawks cant afford Fisher without moving a major salary (Remember Leddy is on our roster now)

I highly doubt Fisher will return a prospect like Morin, much less a package like that.

Fisher clearly doesn't meet the OPs criteria. 4.2 million dollar cap hit over 2 more seasons after this one isn't very appealing unless Fisher starts to pick up his play.

Tim Connolly? He's a playmaker who I think would work well in Chicago with a more Run 'n' Gun than Buffalo plays. Maybe your 1st, but more likely your 2nd round draft pick???

Has Sharp been playing #2 center all year for the Hawks? If so, why bother moving him back to LW? The guy is having a career year right now, don't fix something that isn't broken.

Sharp prefers Wing and you find him often there during the games

On Paper, he is the Center.

Sharp is not on the Table

Hawks would offer

- 2nd Rounder or later Picks

- Prospect not named Olsen, Leddy, Lalonde, Beach, Pirri, Krüger and Morin

- if the offer is good, Skille or Stalberg could be included

To Chicago:

Tim Connolly (4.5)
Steve Montador (1.55)
T.J. Brennan (AHL)

Total: 6.05

To Buffalo:

Troy Brouwer (1.025)
Jack Skille (0.600)
Jordan Hendry (0.600)
2011 3rd

Total: 2.225

Chicago adds about $3.78 in cap hit, so we'd probably have to find one more salary to send to Buffalo to make it work. Chicago gets the 2C (Connolly) it needs, and Montador, who could step right in and play a solid 16-18 mins and greatly improve that 3rd pairing. In fact, I think you'd see him on the ice in late-game situations more than Soupy, but I could be wrong. T.J. Brennan is a nice defensive prospect who is likely caught in a numbers game. We have several young lefties who are already on the roster (Sekera, Butler, Weber) or are ahead of him in the AHL (Schiestel, Gragnani). The Sabres have enough depth to absorb losing him.

The prize in the deal for Buffalo is Brouwer, who can likely take over from Hecht the LW checking line duties. Skille is a RW with good size, and would allow Buffalo to use one of their RW's (Vanek, Pominville, Stafford) to be a central piece in a package to acquire a top-6 center and/or PPQB. Hendry is a throwaway for salary purposes, and will be UFA at the end of this season. I think the 3rd evens out the value, but it may be unnecessary.

ok, first of all, i didnt spend any time looking into the cap specifics to the dollar.. this is just a simple value of thread and i'm not preparing a law case.

and dont tell me to remember leddy is on the roster.. i'm not a moron, so save it..

that being said, fisher would be our #2 C and round out a nice top 6 of

brouwer toews kane
sharp fisher hossa

fisher would play a great 2 way game and is sign for the next 2 season.. and that would then give us toews, fisher and bolland.. that is strength down the middle..

most important that will take kopecky off the top 6..

from a cap stand point..

adding fisher at the deadline would be a cap hit of 948k, the hawks would have a projected 303k if they don't make any roster adjustments until the deadline, and skille would be added to the deal as stated (a cap hit of 135k)

that means for this deal to work they would have to clear 508k to make the deal work.

thats why i said waive boyton (at the deadline - 113k), johnson (now - 241k) and send kopecky away (at the deadline - 270k) would be the only way for it to work..

obviously this whole trade won't happen, but hell.. HFboards is just for fun, isn't it?
