I am ready. I made a special run to the store so that I could be properly prepared.

I won't be watching or heavily supporting the team and Lynchburg this evening. Somebody wants to go to dinner at a place where I can't even wear my jersey. As soon as dinner is over, XM to listen.

To every problem there is a solution.

You can wear a white Preds t-shirt under your tuxedo. (I'd go with Preds know Jack since it's mostly white). If you're not wearing a tuxedo or white shirt, any short sleeve T shirt should do. But stick your jersey in the car, just to have the magic nearby.

Flask it. Take a sip every 20 minutes or so, just to be on the safe side. ;-)

You know. People outside of the Predators sphere of knowledge will think we are a bunch of degenerate drunks who's only hobby is to support Jack Daniel's profit sharing program.

Hell, even I have picked up the drinking this year.

I've seen the bar prices where we're eating tonight. It would be cheaper to flask the entire bottle than get two drinks there. I have to pretend I'm a grown up and eat as though I actually have "manners" tonight. Luckily we should be done with dinner in time for the latter part of the 1st.

You mean they don't think this already?

On tonight's menu:

Go preds

Lets get these two points and create some separation from the pack.

Svatos is adjusting quite nicely, lets hope the top 2 lines keep producing for us.

More of a Glenfarclas fan myself, but that's far from shabby. Nicely done.

Goc's return to former club
http://blogs.tennessean.com/predator...s-opportunity/

It's strange to think that when the Pre*da*tors ini*tially sig*ned Mar*cel Goc in 2009, it was to a two-way con*tract. This is because two years later, Goc has become Nashville's stea*diest cen*ter*man and its foun*da*tion on the "Euro" line.

The Pre*da*tors sig*ned Goc from the Sharks, who play host to Nash*vi*lle later today. Goc's return to San Jose doesn't really pro*vide one of those "warm and fuzzy" memo*ries sto*ries like a lot of pla*yers do with the team that draf*ted them.

His highest ave*rage ice time with the Sharks was 13:55 and he often found him*self buried on the depth chart with San Jose's deep group of for*wards. Hence, Goc couldn't really show*case him*self. The trip here gives Goc and chance to relish in his current role and oppor*tu*nity with the Predators.

"I had to fight for my spot on the ros*ter. That was my first goal in trai*ning camp (in Nash*vi*lle)," Goc said. "I pla*yed a lot more which makes it easier to get into games. You get more con*fi*dent with the more ice-time you get. It’s unbe*lie*va*ble, the effect it has on you."

Bad rebound by Neimi. Good job driving to the net by Leggy.

Odd. That goal happened about the same time as OTF posted about Lundmark leaving the Admirals. What a weird combination of emotions...
