Really lazy short pass by Richards to make that 3v1 less dangerous than it could've been.

Need to start winning some ****ing faceoffs in this period.

Morrow battling hard, love to see that. I really like Langs with those 2.

Boy what Morrow said was spot on about Benn. He can definitely create any chance he wants, and does great with Burish and Ott on the rush. Langenbrunner + Morrow = **** your momentum.

I feel a lot better with Langenbrunner back and available at the end of games to defend leads... he's the kind of guy who you know is going to win those critical puck battles and clear the zone.

Sloppy game, good on us to win it. These are the type of games where we're outplayed but still end up with 2 points that differ us from last year. We really needed this win against a #15 seed.

I guess we'll stick with

Neal - Richards - Eriksson
Morrow - Ribeiro - Langenbrunner
Benn - Ott - Burish
Sutherby - Wandell - Barch

Looks like it works to me.

Brendan Morrow on the post game show (lightly paraphrased)

On Burish:

"*Laughs* If Burr would stop hittin goalies we might have more from that 3rd line too" *Question came after he was asked about the recent success of his 2nd line*

On the final few minutes:

"I was a little grumpy"

On Langenbrunner

"Great move. Our average age moved up a bit. I am not the third oldest guy anymore so I like that"

On Jamie Benn

"My brother sent me a text and told me to get em to sign something cause he is going to be good."

On Niskanen-Skrastins

"I was in the locker room when it happened. Niskanen came in and I started joking with him and I found out he is leaking from his nose and his hand and it was actually a (real/serious) injury. We wanted to see video but no one (even the league) has it. Thought someone would have it on a cell phone.

so.. lots of hockey players nicknames truncate the end of the surname, and replace it with an 'er.'

somehow this seems appropriate...

Oiler fan here. Langenbrunner's gonna really help the Stars in the playoffs. Oiler fans have a quiet respect for the Stars going back to all those great playoff matchups. How many times did Carbeneau kill us, or Muller? And, of course Eddie 'I'll give you a billion dollars' Belfoure. God, I miss those days.

I think I'm gonna cheer for the Stars this playoff year.

1st period = dreadful despite Morrow goal.

2nd period = better after they showed a rivalry montage. Yay for Eriksson's point streak continuing.

3rd period collapse = inevitable.

3rd period Neal goal = surreal. I jumped up thinking it was a goal (somehow, no idea how I saw that from my rafter seats). Thank God I was right.

Kari Lehtonen = MVP for Dallas this year (along with Raycroft)

My man crush for Jamie Benn grows every day. Onto Atlanta.

You guys are my western conference team this year. I really like the way you guys play. Love watching Morrow, Eriksson, etc. We should have the "Richards alliance". I also have Lehtonen, Eriksson, Ribeiro and Langenbrunner on my fantasy team which helps peak my interest.

However, you guys really need to improve the D. (or maybe having Skrastins and Niskanen back will help.) Wowywitka is awful.
