Flyers top ESPN's Midseason grades

Nice accomplishment.

Postseason grade will depend upon special teams getting better, face off percentage improving (ranked 23rd I believe), and one of our goalies playing like a bonafide number 1 that can win games on their own when the team is not operating on all cylinders...oh yes and the team staying relatively healthy!

Philadelphia Flyers

Summary: The Flyers are without question the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference. Even without veteran defenseman Chris Pronger, who should return from injury in the near future, the Flyers haven't missed a beat. They have great balance up front and steady netminding from Renaissance man Brian Boucher. Fewest road losses in the NHL also illustrate the team's maturity. Grade: A-plus. Trending: Up.

I'm beginning to wonder if our PP will ever be good this season or even catch fire. I know it's lack of success stems at least partly from a lack of offensive firepower on the blue-line, but this is the same blue-line we had last year except with a different bottom pairing so I don't understand how it's a problem all of a sudden.

Best... in the east. Canucks sound like the best in the league from that writers perspective, and I have trouble disagreeing.

I'm guessing it was LeBrun for the Flyers grade. I doubt Burnside would've given it both A+ and trending up.

Agreed on the Canucks point too.

Can't argue with that.
