Baseball's problem is that the games are too long, that's why I record the games from ESPN America that I want to watch and with forward button I make the games shorter.
I dunno, NHL games are pretty long as well, all in all about 2 hours 30 mins or so. Baseball is just a bit longer. The only thing that ***** me about NA sport is the amount of adverts, tv timeouts suck so much

To me, NHL games seem very short...buts that's probably because there is a lot of action.
I hope this garbage team tanks so Moreno gets desperate and signs Albert. This offense can't even take advantage of a terrible KC starting rotation. Get some hitters who know how to walk for a change.

Yeah it's because baseball has 80% of the game being downtime between pitches/innings.
The problem is there is no pressure put on pitchers who like to work slow. Josh Beckett and John Lackey are two terrible offenders of this and wear holding hte ball for 5 minutes with a runner on base as a badge of honor.
With technology a player should be penalized for waiting too long to pitch, bend the rules if theres a guy in scoring position, or if its a close game in late innings but the time a pitcher takes between pitches should be monitored and if they can't trim the time between pitches for each batter by a minute or two if its a 3-6 pitch at bat average than they should be charged with balks after given warnings to work faster. Games would be 2 hours if they did this.
Should be frowned upon like slow play in golf and have the players who are offenders held accountable and embarrassed by their peers. Golfers hate being called out for slow play and it sort of works. Obviously traditionalists will whine because they want to sit in thier seats for 4 hours and nothing will happen.
I remember I liked High Heat baseball more than anyother baseball video game because it didnt take so long between pitches and you could play 9 innings in a normal time. Now I could never slog through 9 innings of MLB the show against some loser on the internet who throws balls and wont give you strikes.
Vernon Wells has been the Angel's worst hitter thus far as well. It's early, but the guy looks like dog ****.
Better times are ahead for Vernon Wells. I expect him to put up numbers around the lines of .260/.320/.480 with 20 HRs and 80-90 RBIs and a couple steals, especially if Kendry bats in front of him.
However, the Angels need to make sure Brandon Wood, Jeff Mathis, Fernando Rodney and Scott Kazmir never get playing time. Once they cut the fat, the Angels should be in good shape.
Mike Scioscia has already made one good move this season: making Walden the de-facto closer.
Now what needs to happen for the rest of the season:
- DFA Wood when Morales comes back
- DFA Bulger when Downs comes back
- DFA Brian Wilson (ideally Mathis, but who am I kidding?) when Pineiro comes back and give Conger most of the playing time (again, who am I kidding?)
- Stick Kazmir as long-relief and bring up Palmer/Trevor Bell as the 5th starter
And we should be good to go. I like our offense sans Wood and Mathis. And a bullpen of Walden, Downs, Thompson, Kohn, Takahashi and Jepsen is actually fairly good.
