Lehner will start tomorrow.

Clouston just announced it. The future is now! for one game at least.

Go Lehner Go! I hope the team steps up their game for him.

In other news, I presume CC thinks he'll still be around tomorrow night.

Why the heck not. I just hope it doesn't screw up his development playing in front of such an awful mess of a team!

I hope he plays well but we still lose - we have to win the reverse stanley cup.

He'll get lit up like Elliot did and we'll start second-guessing whether or not he really is as good as we thought. The word "bust" will be thrown around hastily without consideration towards the extent to which our team sucks and the impossibility of a twenty year old goaltender stealing a game for such a garbage lineup.

Book it.

Something to look forward to, at the very least.

I want Lehner to win and I think that he will. Downfall being that we need to lose and the Isles to catch us in the standings.

1-0 Isles win please....

If it does, I don't want him anyways.

Some people (not necessarily you) need to use common sense when throwing around this "screwing up development" notion....they aren't handing over any torches just yet.

Well, I guess I'll play the role of Mr. Optimism then.

He'll let in two goals, one on the PP, and hold us in there for most of the game. Sens fans will applaud his effort and maintain their notion of him as the future #1 of this team without a doubt.

We'll lose the game 3-1 (one EN goal) and further solidify a lottery pick! Optimistic can sure take some strange forms? Nevertheless, book it.

I seriously doubt a few games will screw up his psyche.

Some of you need to take some Prozac.

He seems to be a pretty confidant guy, borderline cocky. Not worried it will affect his development at all.

Of course at 19 and still unproven, he could go both ways. I for one am still waiting to see how he does in the AHL as a regular starter before making any sort of judgement call on him. But the org. has to do everything they can to help him become the best goalie he can be.

Putting Lehner in net might motivate Elliott and the team. Its to show change will be made if we lose and Clouston or Murray aren't joking about it.

Good move by CC.

Should be too cocky after a really average (at best) performance during the WJC.

Looks like Ottawa is going to go on a Cinderella run into the playoffs with Lehner at the helm.

We should trade our first round pick away for Calgary's+ and then go win the cup.

How about an average start to his pro career? A career that he's not even 20 games into?

You can sort of understand with Locke since he's lighting up the league. Lehner isn't even settled into the pros yet.

So again I ask, what is the point of this? To find out if he'll be on our roster next year? Please. It's the typiclal Brian Murray patching horsesh*t that sums up his tenure as a GM here.

If I was evaluating talent and NHL projection at the WJC I would have been impressed with what I saw from Lehner....basically about just as impressive as Jack Campbell considering the season as a whole they have both had.

Icing goal, goal off bounce off corner...the one he let through his legs probably being the worst goal he's ever let in....yeah other than that...he was sharp and made a lot of saves look easy because of how big and athletic he is.

2nd star last night in the Bingo win.

I really don't understand calling him up now and aslo the amount of time he has been called up and sent down can't be that good for him.He has spent more time going between ottawa and bingo then playing in games.Keep him in bingo for the rest of the season maybe call him up the last 10 games of the season but they have to stop this calling him up so much it is not good for anyone.

hmm lets see

1. Get fans interested in a few games

2. GIve lehner valuable experience that he might not get as easily next year

3. give him playing time as Brust is playing most of the games in bingo and brodeur needs game time too

those are some pretty good reason

With Elliott stinking it up, Leclaire out and Brodeur doing no good even though he's only came in a couple of times, why not give the kid a chance? If he does good in front of this **** team now then we can be happy that he may be even better when he has a team in front of him and it will give us something to look forward to. If he stinks it up, he goes back to the AHL knowing that he has to improve his game. He's the kind of guy that won't hurt his confidence if he does bad, and he wants to work to be the best, whether he has to spend it in the AHL or not, he's said that.

Looking forward to this game, go Lehner.

Guys don't forget or lose their skill in a span of 2-3 months. To all those people saying it will screw up his development bla bla give me a break. Its better he gets some experience under his belt now and knows what to expect then to have him experience it early next season.
