Kaberle will most likely sign TONIGHT.

Also, get your freakin' offers in!

place D Pavel Kubina on the block.

We are also looking for cheap, bottom 6 forwards. Willing to give up decent prospects/picks.

2011-2012 Chicago Blackhawks opening day roster

Troy Brouwer - Jonathan Toews - Patrick Kane
Jeremy Morin - Patrick Sharp - Marian Hossa
Bryan Bickell - Dave Bolland - Martin Havlat
Fredrik Modin - Jake Dowell - Igor Makarov

Duncan Keith - Brent Seabrook
Brian Campbell - Niklas Hjalmarsson
Andrej Sekera - Carl Gunnarsson

Corey Crawford
Curtis Sanford

Jordan Hendry as extra forward/#7 dman

SALARY CAP: $62,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $61,977,169; BONUSES: $135,000
CAP SPACE (21-man roster): $322,831

Chicago Blackhawks are confident this team is something special.

We feel we have the best defense in NHL and our RW depth is unmatched in NHL.

We can role 4 lines again which was the backbone of our strong 2009 and 2010 playoff teams. In net Crawford has established himself as a #1 and Sanford has always been a dependable #2 in NHL.

We are tight to cap so we will use Rockford Shuttle with Morin to help increase our cap room as we did with Cam Barker and Jack Skille in past. If an injury should arise we will consider other roster moves to increase cap room if needed

2011 NHL Entry Draft

2nd round / 34th overall - RW Shane McColgan , Kelona Rockets (WHL)
2nd rond / 46th overall - D Oscar Klefbom , Farjestads BK Karlstad (SEL)

Hawks top 15 prospects (Morin/Makarov on NHL roster thus excluded)

LW Kyle Beach (1st round 2008)
LW Kevin Hayes (1st round 2010)
LW Ludvig Rensfeldt (2nd round 2010)
C Brandon Pirri (2nd round 2009)
C Joakim Nordstrom (3rd round 2010)
C Marcus Kruger (5th round 2009)
RW Jimmy Smith (2nd round 2008)
RW Ben Smith (6th round 2008)
D Nick Leddy (1st round 2009)
D Dylan Olsen (1st round 2009)
D Justin Holl (2nd round 2010)
D Stephen Johns (2nd round 2010)
D Shawn Lalonde (3rd round 2008)
G Kent Simpson (2nd round 2010)
G MacMillian Carruth (7th round 2010)

We may just go with the current forward lineup, with Tarasenko at camp he has a chance to make our roster. If not we have Stalberg and Greg Nemisz both on the team.

Tarasenko-Roy-Ryan
Mueller-Ennis/Berglund-Steen
Porter-O'Reilly-Yip
Moss-Steckel-Kostopolous

Giordano-UFA
Polak-Shattenkirk
Sarich-Holos/Erixon

Anderson
Holtby

We feel it's a young team, but one that's quick, offensively talented and gritty. Some future stars and current stars on the team. We may tweak our 2nd line some. Likely Berglund to be moved with the addition of Tyler Ennis. We're open to discussing trades for a Top 6 LW, and a #1-3 Dman. We have lots of trade pieces.

Viktor Stalberg still available.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curious to see how NY fares with the cap next season. From a quick look they're about 3.5M over the cap with one roster spot to fill. Someones gotta go! Kabs at 10 ridiculous.

A 10 mill contract handed out to Kaberle

For once it's not a Sather contract either

Almost forgot something

G Cristobal Huet is on waivers

He can either find a job in Europe or spend 2011-12 season in Rockford

Antroppv on the block. Good top 6 signed for less than what those wild agents in fa will demand

picks and/or prospects, maybe a top 4 d (or antro+ if it's a good young one)

Semin is waiting on the 2 teams left in the bidding to confirm their final offers. Once We hear he will sign right away.

After Semin goes, most of the other forwards will sign by the end of the weekend

If a player had a limited NTC that we don't know the details of, do we still have to send it in to be waived?

Yes. A lot more latitude for waiving will be given in that instance.
