I feel bad for Mauldin; he only stopped producing when he was moved to the fourth line as more people became healthy.

He'll be back at some point.

I don't feel sorry for O'Sullivan. When he was in Edmonton he blamed everyone but himself. I've honestly never seen a player care less than him on a night to night basis. I was embarrassed to have him on the Oilers. Millions of people around the world would kill to be in his position and he's taken it for granted.

Somebody should pick up mauldin. He's a good player with outstanding speed, just got squeezed out in the numbers game.

I hope the Oilers claim Mauldin like they did with Ryan Jones last year. The kid looks like a pretty damn good player to me. I wouldn't mind Salmela either.

It would be worth a shot at his price tag. People can crap all over the kid all the want, but there is STILL potential there.

Canucks could use Mauldin. Perhaps he is the fourth line center that we have been looking for?

Forgive me if I'm wrong... but that's twice... not three times this season POS has been waived, right?

Once by the Hurricanes and now by the Wild.

Really? And your experience of the NLA is...? Frankly, your 'knowledge' of the Swiss league (and likely anything outside of the NHL) is laughable at best. People here do very much care if players float and a lot of the imports here are soon shipped out if they do underperform.

EDIT: Numbers look good... 5 goals, 10 points in 29 games, 10 mins/game...?

Andersson is going to the KHL... waived from the Canucks to allow him to go (yeay contract spot!).
Colorado have an abundance of forwards and both Chris Stewart and Cody McLeod are back tonight, so somebody had to go.

Guys like Daigle and Riesen excel here and they are very much considered floaters by NHL standards. Sure he's exaggerating, but he isn't totally wrong either.

It depends on what you mean by "this season"... over the summer he was waived by Edmonton. He was bought out by the Coyotes as well, making 4 teams that have essentially said thanks-but-no-thanks in a little over 6 months.

I had thought it obvious I was using a little bit of hyperbole for comedic effect... but let's face it... any league where Alex Daigle, Hnat Dominechelli, Michel Reisen, and Christian Dube can become stars might as well hang a sign "floaters welcome".
