sens are coming off a big win, so I dont know here, they are low in the standings like the flames, this one could go either way.

I hope Karlsson gets the start, the emotion he injects into the game, IMO kickstarts the team. Unfortunately, he usually only shows that emotion after 95% of the night has been played out. Then again, I dont know if he can fire out a fistpump in-play. But I'm sure he show emotion that is not camera accessable, in the dressing room.

That being said, Kipper needs to be shown that we still have confidence in him, so if he starts tonight, it could help in breaking this slump.

Regehr didn't practice and is a game time decision.

Foolishly or not, the team has been letting Kipper play through his struggles for the last 6 years. And since we're no longer in any sort of playoff hunt, no point in wearing him out even further. Honestly, if he could come to camp next season having played only 60 games, I think it'd do wonders for him, being 35 years old at that point. I think most people will be glad to see the end of 70+ games a year for our number one goalie.

Goddamnitsomuch.

If the team pulls together without Regehr - 4-2 Flames

If not - 3-1 Sens

This game is exciting, both teams playing like they want that lottery pick.

Sens: Say there, good sirs. Would you like to score a goal first?
Flames: No, my dear gentlemen. I insist. Please, go ahead.
Sens: But I must be courteous in this matter, as the host.
Flames: I cannot be so selfish in this matter. Do go ahead.
Sens: No, I will not allow it.
Flames: Allow it.
Sens: No. YOU score a goal NOW.
Flames: I wouldn't dare to. Please, please, age before beauty.
Sens: SCORE A GOAL.
Flames: NO YOU.
Sens: HA! We'll commit a PENALTY!
Flames: How DARE you!

etc., etc.

edit- Moss just doesn't get it. Everyone's restraining themselves, and now he's trying to be 20-goal material. GET WITH THE PROGRAM, MOSSHEAD.

No doubt where was this Moss last season, he got superstar syndrome like Glencross did for a while. They have one good season and they stop doing the things that make them successful, rather then grind it out in front of the net they start making fancy behind the back passes and try to dangle.

Lol.

The games are getting more important now that we have reached the half way point of the season, and we must continue to pretend not to care. We are playing a team so close to us in the standings and we must fail to win if we want any chance at achieving hockey's holy grail.... First overall.

Did Mikelson screw up or something, his ice time got cut a lot in that period. Sutter just has no confidence in younger players. I know chemistry is being built on some line but seriously if your going to minimize these guys ice time they should just be in Abbotsford.

Good on Karlsson for getting this win. It's nice to finally have a backup goalie.

My 3 stars of the game:

1. Moss
2. Karlsson
3. Giordano

Wow....Sarah Jessica Parker sees more action than this GDT!

Happy for Karlsson to pickup the win. Looks like we finally found something in net to play behind Kipper. And I agree, trade Moss now while he's hot. Maybe we could get a 2nd for him.

Stop being so right about things, you smughead mcsmugface.
On another note, I'd rather have Prust around than either of them.

Hopefully this serves as a lesson for our next GM. Your entire 4th line could be making no more than 2 million, and every one of them could be just as if not more effective than Nystrom.

Same thing applies to defense. When your salary structure is such that you have 2 guys at or close to 7 million and a goalie at close to 6, you shouldn't have 2.8 and 3.6 million defenders on your bottom pairing.
