“We think this will be a great new program for Nazareth College and for the larger Rochester community,” said Nazareth president Daan Braveman. “Hockey is a popular sport at the collegiate level and we think this will be received as a good addition to our athletic landscape.”
In deciding to add ice hockey, Nazareth has used the assistance of local resident Craig Dahl, who has nearly three decades of hockey coaching experience, including 19 as a Division I head coach at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
van Riemsdyk's little brother is pretty much James' size, and he's an offensive-minded defenseman. You can picture what that looks like.
Downing tore up the BCHL for the last three seasons, and should be an offensive force in Durham eventually.
Willows played in Jersey for the Hitmen, captained the team, and put up very good numbers. He's older, so my guess is he'll have a more immediate impact than a guy like Downing.
Chevrier sounds like a redshirt candidate, coming right from prep school, as does Randall, who only converted to defense a year and a half ago.
Correale put up good numbers in the AJHL and Camper sounds like a solid depth forward. They could see some action early on.
I'm very excited about DeSmith. He had a great year in the USHL and we desperately need a goalie for next year when DiGirolamo is gone.

Wondering how RIT newcomer Jordan Ruby will do fighting for the top goalie spot. The tigers will have three very solid goalies. Ruby will likely get drafted this year though since his Playoff run.
UNH has a pretty decent recruiting class coming in as well. Lots of skill.

my friend on my roller team is real good friends with him. Says he's gonna be drafted..take it for what it's worth, but said he'd be a late first rounder not this year's draft but next year's
IDK if that's true because I have never seen him play

Trevor is the defenseman that I was talking about, and he's 20 already, so he won't be getting drafted. I would love for us to pick him up as an undrafted FA. You're probably talking about Brendan, who is 16, I believe, and plays for CBA.
I've heard that Brendan will be a first rounder as well. I'm pretty sure this will be his last season at CBA, unless he's already moved on.
Hopefully he'll end up at UNH in two seasons or so. I'd be shocked if he doesn't follow his brothers.
Iles was undrafted again. He's been eligible for a couple years I think. He doesn't have much proven performance to merit being drafted yet, but I think he will eventually get signed by a team.
The sioux lost a lot of talent to graduation this year in Frattin, Genoway and trupp. Gregoire signed with the Jets...
Just have to hope the young studs take the next step. The talent is certainly there with Forbort, knight, nelson, grimaldi coming in, etc...
Here's a Rodwell video:
Off topic stupid question. I can't keep track of the logo/nickname saga at UND. What is the verdict on that? As a former student at UND I can only refer to them as the Fighting Sioux no matter what happens!

It's as good as gone...Really pains me to say that, but it's the truth. The tribe that does support the name may possibly sue the NCAA for antitrust agreements but I wouldn't count on that accomplishing anything.
And yeah, they'll always be the Sioux to me no matter what craptastic new name is implemented. I'm going to buy as much sioux **** as possible before it's gone.
I already have a ton of tshirts and two jerseys.
Honestly, if it has to happen, they should just be University of North Dakota. I don't want some new lame ass nickname.

he said Trevor. You can't be drafted at the age of 20?
and from everything im hearing Brendan was better at this age then JVR was.

Well, it's not that you can't be drafted, but I don't think he will. And certainly not in the first round.
Not a knock on him at all. I'm most excited about him out of the whole recruiting class, but 20 year old college freshmen just don't get drafted too often.
