skills battle - wrist shot

Who has the best wrister on the Dallas Stars? I think its pretty fair to narrow it down to these 3 guys but I've included an other so if you choose that, please state your case. Vote based on overall included release, accuracy and speed.

So I went with Neal. I think hes got a little quicker release than Benn and his ability to elevate in tight puts him over the top for me. I'd say Benn has more consistent accuracy but when Neal is on he can really pick a corner. Richards is third for me, with a nice quick release but not the speed or goal scoring accuracy, as he seems to use is more as a shass.

If this is going to be an ongoing series I vote Barch for all categories.

but seriously, Benn. There's a special kind of inevitability that creeps into your mind when he has the chance to wind up the wrist shot. I expect him to score rather than hope he scores.

Neal's gotta the better accuracy and wrist shot IMO. Benn is a close second.

Richards is best from getting it to the net through traffic.

Yeah I agree with that. We especially don't have a good one timer either, although I've seen Richards get a few good ones off.

Who picked other? Would be curious to see what their choice is.

its piqued sabotaging my poll with Barch.

A good one timer could really help us on the powerplay. I suspect guys like neal and benn can develop that. Eriksson is ok at times.

Ribeiro has a deceptively good wrister, particularly in tight. He's able to elevate the puck in virtually no space. Eriksson as well.

Benn's best shot is his snap shot. He has a Nieuwendyk-esque ability to release his snapper at full speed without making it obvious he's loading up.

Neal's ability to beat goalies in with little net showing is crazy! The speed of his release is the best on Dallas.

Benn has a great shot, but I think Neal deserves a lot of recogition here. Hard under the goalies arm when he has the chance to shoot, pretty decent odds of it going in.

Methinks you stole that last one from Steve Ott, either that or you guys are the same person.

Ah. I assume you mean his weekly BaD radio thing (which I'd forgotten about). Didn't get to listen to that, sadly. Had to be in obnoxious work meetings all afternoon.
