My God, Silfverberg's shot is disgusting! He also has a nice play at the begining of the game and almost scores.

He's #33. The first goal I believe... The one that goes under review.

He scored the 5th goal on a rip from the slot.

I was talking about his shot that scored, the 5th goal I believe. But ya, he also had a nice play that almost got the first goal of the game.

Ugh my tv listings say that the local shaw channel in Vancouver is supposed to show the Kootenay at Spokane game, but they're showing some stupid yoga crap instead.

Now I see a message that says "Hockey coverage has been delayed. Pls Stand By." Hopefully I'll get to see Cowen in his natural environment some time soon.

Still do (as of last year at least) as a scout... Older brother of Jarkko and Tuomo.

Cowen cant be that good he's only scored 1 goal out of 10, and the goal he scored was the 10th, he has no assists and no penalties, yet one of the Kootenay guys already has 29 mins in penalties.

PS is this game on tv or the net?

It's on channel 4 on shaw if you're in the west coast. No idea about the east.

The amazing thing is that Kooteney isn't like a team of scrubs or anything, they're tops in their own division.

Chiefs are red. Also isn't Kootenay the home team? I'm hearing a Go Chiefs Go chant.

Edit: does Cowen ever actually leave the ice? I think the only time I noticed him not being on is when Kootenay had that goal early in the period.

They had Spezza with a ceiling between Gretzky and Sakic. Also Brooks Laich = sad face. And Emery...

He's done with the SEL, can't improve fast enough there anymore. He's leading the league in points among defenceman (6th among all skaters), he's quarterbacking one of the top power plays and he's logging 25+ minutes in any tight game that his team plays. (Averaging 23 or something)

However, his problems adjusting is gonna be handling the pace of the NHL, the bigger, faster, stronger forwards and adjusting to the fact that he can't take all the risks offensively that he does at home. He's giving away the puck a whole lot, which might not go punished very often in the SEL but in the NHL, if you give up a lot 2-on-1's or 3-on-2's, you're gonna get scored on a lot.

I wouldn't say he's ready to step into the NHL if we want to do some damage next season, but if we're going very young in a "rebuilding year", he'd be there.

By the way, do we really like our defence to be with all three of Gonchar, Karlsson and Rundblad? Too similar and cover too many of the same weaknesses. Need very strong players on the left side to help.

Weaknesses
1. Future PP Quarterback?
2. Lack of Power Forwards
3. Top Level Snipers
4. Skilled Wingers

Scaring how accurate this became.
