Did Capuano just call a timeout? If so, he just sealed his fate as a moron.

You don't give Toronto more time to look at that play... or is he simply a stupid human being?

Great to see the team +19 on the scoresheet!

Edit: Great to see the team +14 on the scoresheet.

9-4-1
in last 15 games

6-1-1 in first 8 of those 15 games
3-3-1 in last 7 games

Now 14-22-7 in 43 games
if they could go
14-18-7 in last 39 games

they'd be 28-40-14 --- 70 points probably 15-20 points out of a playoff spot, I would guess.

So you've never seen a goalie with a late lead and the opponent's net empty, try for an empty net goal?

I am guessing the 8th spot in the East will need at least 90 points if not more(95ish)

yes i looked at the last 4 seasons it was (for 8th in East)
88 points, 94, 92, and 93 or something like those in the last 4 seasons

so i adjusted up and even that might be low.
But if they won 5 more games than what i said before they would go
19-13-7 in last 39
then they would have
14-22-7 + 19-13-7 = 33-35-14 which is 80 points and still 8-14 points out. But still better. They could get 19 wins out of 39 games.
Not likely.....but possible.

The greatest goalie of all time, Martin Brodeur does it quite often. It's actually something cool to see and a skill to be able to do when done well. Hextall used to do it as well.

A shame our goalie was so crappy tonight though. I mean 3 goals he let it was terrible. We need Roli back. I'm pretty sure he's done ok in his last two games. 3 goals in unacceptable, Poulin would never let this happen.

Great game JT, go Isles!

Bah, boo him.

Gonna have to disagree with you on this one Mick.

Roy is one of the greats. But I think Marty is the greatest. Marty has passed some of the biggest records for goalies and I really think he deserves top honors.

That is of course up for debate, and I respect your opinion.

Also on the game, I'm starting to like PAP a little more each game.

I got so amped when Grabner scored. He deserved it, he played great. Chalk me up for the Michael Grabner fan club (if there is one).
