how can these players just leave KHL teams all the time? They really must hate playing over there.

Well I assume he was only there because he couldn't get an NHL contract.

Pretty sure Atlant terminated his contract, not the other way around.

"As we reported..."

Falsely, a week before it actually happened.

Strickland is friggin' useless.

I'm an aquaitence with an NHL player (same friends) that has played over there. They hate it. It'd would be like someone going to Nunuvit for work. They just keep thinking of the paycheck.

Wellwood deserves to be in the NHL though, he actually became a fairly responsible defensive player under Vigneault last year. Great hands and a shootout threat. Bad side is he's softer than wet paper and isn't very good on the wing.

Not to derail the thread but this is why I don't follow Strickland anymore. He's always saying "I was told or as we/i told you" and he's wrong nearly half the time and he refuses to give credit to those that deserve it. I don't think he's privy to a whole lot of inside info as leads people to believe. -I hope no one picks up Wellwood. Blues really need someone to create any kind of offense.

Hopefully Welly makes more of his opportunity in St. Louis than he did in Vancouver. He had some fantastic games for us, and that point-streak when we first picked him up was awesome, but he was pretty underwhelming in the team's final stretch last year.

It's not really a 'joke' if it's true.

I thought it was mutual? He didn't want to be there, and requested a release so he could be closer to his pregnant girlfriend?
