I'm hoping for the latter

Ive never been one to speak about possible trades really, but the more I think about it having Iginla on the Sharks would be a great idea IMO. I know its far fetched, and I know we really dont need another forward, but I think it would be a boost in the arm for this team. I think it would be enough to turn the team around

Im sure it would cost a pretty penny to aquire him though...

Heatley for Iginla. It would make the oiler fans flip out.

I don't know. Someone might take Wallin on re-entry for a playoff run. It won't get us assets, but it does clear salary.

Huskins I think might actually get a pick in return. He really hasn't been that horrible this year, and is a solid #6. For a team hoping for a long playoff run, depth on D is a good thing. As long as they have the cap space.

DW did get someone to take on Cheechoo's huge contract. Maybe he has some incriminating photos of other GMs he hasn't leveraged yet.

I think Vancouver should be forced to take Wallin, and Huskins since DW basically gave them Ehrhoff and luko for nothing

Taking Luko helped out the Sharks more than it did the Canucks. But they still owe us for Error.

It takes between 90-95 points to make the #8 seed. Going with the best case 90, the Sharks are going to have to earn 41 points in the remaining 36 games - just to meet the #1 seed.

Yea .... I would say 2/1 is the longest DW can wait to pull the trigger on a shake up. This team as composed isn't doing anything in the playoffs and thats IF it gets to the playoffs. Still time and still possible, but he probably can't wait until the deadline to see the team execute as he believes they can.
