Devils have 27 points, not 43 and the Isles have 35.

This is a very important game. I thought before they won the Buffalo game, the good stretch was over. Let's continue to buck the trend.

Great another 1pm start for a holiday most people don't have off for as it is. This is going to be worse than the Ranger game at the beginning of the season.

Believe the Devils are 0-for-the-Tri-state this year so far (0-5-0), let's keep it going today.

3-1 NYI

Moulson, Comeau, Parenteau with the tallies.

This didn't necessitate a thread, so...

What is Blake Comeau? How can he go from "dumb, heartless third liner" to "possibly a core player" simultaneously?

He and Bailey are so inconsistent, but he has been in the league for a while now. Just cross your fingers and hope the inevitable cold streak is not an upwards of ten games.

Bailey, Comeau and Tavares have disappeared for long stretches. So has Schremp. So has Okposo in prior years. Younger players go through this, even the best ones, so it's somewhat expected.

We lose patience with Comeau because he's OLDER and it seems unforgivable that his effort is inconsistent at times, regardless of his output. But these are growing pains for the most part.

I'm not saying Comeau will overcome this and become that consistent performer. But I do know this, when Comeau's on his game, he's every bit as good as any forward on this team. His combination of size and speed, with the talent he does possess gives him a complete toolset that few forwards have. There's a lot there, hopefully he can fight his way thorough.

We know the Islanders aren't helping ANY of these guys with the lack of NHL talent. I just hope this is the LAST YEAR of this nonsense.

Now let's go smoke those Devils!

DP is probably not taking a lot of practice to reduce the chance of swelling. Guessing Lawson is a glorified practice goalie for a week or 2

Looks like Nathan Lawson is backing up Poulin. Why not DiPietro? It's been almost 48 hours since his 40-save outing Saturday night...
Not sure if it's nothing or if I should be getting my tinfoil hat out.
