Tampa Bay @ Atlanta 20 Jan 2011 7PM

"Houston, we've got a problem."

We're desperate for a win. We've GOT to come to play, and play a full sixty. I'm really not sure what else to say.

So impressed with Bryan Little in the past couple of month. He has stepped it up and the goals are coming.

I, too, am impressed with Little. He came up HUGE for us tonight. I posted this early, expecting a loss.

The point notwithstanding is the fact we need to play the whole game, not just two periods.

i would really like to beat tampa for once

keep the lines how they are. we played a really good game i thought and just couldn't bury our opportunities. a good defensive game is what it takes to beat the bolts.

Not that I would ever wish an injury on anyone, but if someone just "happened" to crosscheck the keebler elf right in the face I would be eternally grateful.

TBL have had their own share of struggles lately. If they roll in here the way they've played recently, they too could get eaten alive.

We'll have to watch the game to find out.

Exactly right. Tampa and Washington have been waiting for us lately. The hottest teams in the division have been Carolina and Florida. A vital 4 pointer that would serve us damned well if we win in regulation.

Bond to happen at some time and going to have to happen if we're to make it to the next level. Why not start here?

This game means more than some of the other games we've played. This game against TBL should be a statement game. Eager? Addition by subtraction.

Word is, Bogosian could end up playing up front on Thursday. I, for one, am actually quite curious to see how that would work out.

Well wouldn't that be interesting if he does: Byfuglien to D and Bogie to F. I think it will work out well. He has enough defense to be an effective back-checker and he already likes to join the rush.

I caught that part. But...

Quote:
Ramsay said the move of Bogosian was done out of necessity. However, he did not rule out Bogosian playing forward when the Thrashers host Tampa Bay on Thursday if there is still a shortage of healthy players.

“Who knows?” Ramsay said. “I don’t know for sure. It depends on how there other guys go. It’s always a possibility to dress seven [defensemen]. We know, for instance, that he could play up front. Freddy Meyer can if necessary. …

One thing, you wouldn’t want to be a defenseman with Zach bearing down on you because he can skate and is a physical guy.”

Rammer sounds high on the kid playing F. What position and what line, I don't know, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do without having to worry too much about defense.

Cormier-Burmi-Bogo? or Bogo-Thor-Antro? Who did Meyer play with when he was a FWD?

Been a theme in the SE division as of late. Washington got the loser point tonight.

Wow. I don't even know what to say. I can see it now. "Roenick saying Bogosian would be horrible at forward, he's a defenseman. This will never work." What the rest of the league must be thinking of us if we try this. It will definitely be interesting to see how it would work.

Montreal received a loser point and Tampa wins in a shootout.
