If Nichol gets suspended for that, then Schlemko deserves to get suspended for boarding Nichol in the 2nd period. Colin Campbell really hates the Sharks. Nolan got 11 games for 1 sucker punch on Grant Marshall yet Jody Shelley only got 2 games for suckerpunching Brad Stuart over and over. There are more examples but I'm tired.

Chris Neil? The Sharks were a team who wanted him in the past.

It better be someone who can help out cause right now, the 3rd and 4th lines are just out there to buy time for the 1st and 2nd lines so they can rest for a little bit.

Well, that wouldn't be a deadline deal so much. 2mil with 2 years left on his contract. Don't know enough about him lately to know if he's worth that.

To narrow by teams....

Devils, Islanders, Senators, Oilers, Flames, Blue Jackets are the six lowest teams in the standings.

These may be the most likely sources for players.

(Sharks have dealt with Columbus, Calgary recently. But there's a new guy in Feaster in the GM chair in Alberta.)

Sharks bailed out NJ in the past by taking on Malakhov's contract. Maybe DW and Lou can strike a deal?

The Flyers and Canucks might be two other teams that could use some cap relief.

Would Edmonton be willing to deal Cogs? He has pretty good potential.

IIRC there was talks about him not panning out as well as expected and wasnt have the year they believed he would have. He's a pending RFA and still very young (23). The only thing is he isnt very experienced, but i could see him fitting well in a 3rd/4th line role.

At this point, Samuelsson is a good 2nd liner. Doubt he'd come cheap.

anymore members of the '07 Ottawa Senators or Anaheim Ducks available? both seem to be DWs most popular teams to acquire players from (at least recently IMO). Chris Neil, Rob Niedermayer, or Scott? , Dustin Penner, Chris Kunitz, Ray Emery, Bryan Murray? but hed have to fire McClellan , Andy McDonald, Travis Moen (again), Peter Schaefer (VAN), Patrick Eaves (DET), Alfredsson.. stanley cup rings: Erik Cole, Mark Eaton (NYI), Ben Eager (ATL).
