i loved Eager on the Hawks last year in the playoffs. he can fight and score. him and Nichol on a line will be huge down the stretch. i love the move.

This is a really good move for only a 5th rounder. This will keep Clowe from fighting as much once he comes back. It's bad news when your best fighter is arguably your best player (for this season anyway). He has decent offensive abilities for a third line player, he kills penalties, he is a high energy guy, he's very physical, and he's won a Stanley Cup, which is obviously the reason why DW got him.

I hope a trade for a defenseman is coming up.

so far i love this move. Eager is a big body who isnt afraid to hit and fight. those two things are something we've been missing this season. on top of that he has a little bit of a scoring pop to add on the fourth line.

I like Eager a lot better than Wellwood. Gritty and fast and young is what we need (Eager), not out of shape and lacking motivation with stick talent but no intensity or motivation (Wellwood). Unfortunately Eager is tradable and Wellwood isn't, so if one of these is a piece to acquire a PMD it's Eager = \
