Its about time. I hope they aren't rushing him with the loss of Wellwood.

Oshie comes back and the gameplay changes. We were taking chances, playing loose, getting to the net. Overall, a solid game with a gift towards the end.

I see Oshie was the first star tonight according to Yahoo...did he really look that good already? I guess its just the adrenaline of coming back

If Halak wasn't the first star, he should have been.

Oshie looked pretty decent...much better than I would have though for his first game back after missing so many. It's obvious he's a little rusty as his timing was just a bit off in every aspect of the game. Skating looked fine, though, so if he's playing through pain it's not showing.

Give him a week or so and he should be back up to game speed.

He looked very good. I didn't notice him favour the ankle. He seemed to be going all out (although, his timing did seem to be a little off on a few plays). His presence helps all 3 top lines, and both the PP and PK. Oshie also heps boost The Blues' energy level quite a bit.

Amazing how one player can change the way a whole team plays. He was very good tonight. As others have stated, he was a little off on his timing but that will be fixed within a week.

Lets hold off on that judgment until we see a few games. This team is so up and down.

He looked slow. I don't think he went into the offensive end's corners or behind the net for fear of getting caught up ice. But it didn't matter. Oshie can cure depression.

He did look a slower than usual, but to be expected.

The team needed something good to happen. I was surprised at how well Oshie kept up with the play tonight, physically and mentally. It's amazing that someone could sit out for nearly half the season, then jump back in as if they had only missed an optional skate.

I hope he continues to improve...but even with what he brought tonight...TJ gives us a better chance to win than Janssen, Hensick, Porter, etc.

(It was also nice to see Perron attending tonight's game in person.)

I don't know why people keep mentioning Hensick as someone who "might have helped" at The NHL level. When The Blues got him merely for Julian Talbot (an ECHL/AHL fringe player), one might have guessed that his NHL level game must have a lot of holes.

Would you guys say Oshie is your MVP? At least as a skater and not including Halak if that is who you want to go with. Some tend to think I overrate him but I am just a big fan...he contributes in all aspects of the game which is such a luxury.

Also don't know where to put this Q and it was something I was wondering..did any names ever come out as to who the Blues might have preferred giving up in the Halak deal? I know Montreal was very high on Eller but were any other names leaked?

Oh and since I picked up EJ in my fantasy pool he has points in 3 straight...so you are welcome!

I would say that our team is still growing into its identity, so it's really too early to tell who our MVP is, or who will be as the team continues to grow together. Backes is probably the MVP right now, with Steen and Oshie not that far behind. I could see any one of four or five players being the MVP two or three years from now as everything continues to evolve.

As far as Halak goes, I've never heard anything concrete but my educated guess is that it would have involved a lesser prospect (like McRae) + a compensating pick to replace Eller. The Blues weren't dealing a core roster player to address their goaltending situation, so I'm 100% certain that Oshie, Berglund, Perron, etc. were never in play.

I must be bad luck. I ordered 3 jerseys early this season. One was a Perron, one Oshie and one retro Hull.

It was just a few days later the injuries started.

Wanna buy a Heatley jersey? Thornton? or a Zetterberg one would look nice too
