Over-reaction on the celebration guys...there are alot of guys that go way over the top during the game when they score, Briere,Blake, Ovechikin etc It was his first OT goal, even Peanut Mcguire liked it!
Yet another example of how things get overblown when it comes to the Habs and, more recently, PK himself. Last night everyone was talking about how it took a few seconds before everyone huddled around PK, now its the look on Gomez face and we are creating drama.
Even if Gomez wasn't a fan who cares, this is a guy who came through the New Jersey system where you weren't allowed to be creative and everything was D first...imagine the Dman and points Niedermeyer would of had in a system like Detroit or Pittsburgh???
It is still revealing to me: first player to congratulate Subban: Gill. That was telling. The big guy seems to love the kid.
Anyways, I don't care that Gomez doesn't like the kid; if that's the case, Subban will eventually win this war of attrition. In 3 seasons from now, this will be HIS team and Gomer-pyle will be closer to Alaska. With all the kids coming up, the oldies are going to lose the room to them. Heck, even Andrei started celebrating his goals!!!
I don't know if it's that serious. Neither do you.
Damn. How can you guys think your science is so exact that you can despise any divergent opinion?
It's not a divergent opinion you're putting forth here. Rather, you're openly speculating, and you're well aware of the fact that you have no idea what you're talking about (see: first lines of quoted text). So what's the point in discussing it? You don't know what happened there. I don't know. Brunet doesn't know. So what? Maybe Gomez has a problem with Subban because he celebrated too much? One pumping fist too many?
Frankly, it's a reach, and far too speculative to be worth anyone's time. For you to condemn posters for disagreeing with you and finding this to be terribly petty is obnoxious. It's even more obnoxious of you to claim that NewHabsEra is some kind of veteran poster as compared to hototogisu.
