With the recent acquisitions it looks like the sharks are getting ready to trade for a defenseman. McGinn, McCarthy, Ferriero, Mitchell, Josilin, to a lesser extent Seto, and Huskins are all possible players that will be moved. Only untouchable prospects are Braun, Coyle, Doherty. Doubt we trade our first, but I imagine our other picks are in play. We are looking for a mobile top 4 defenseman with a good breakout pass, having a good shot or the ability to carry the puck are pluses.
IMO Petrecki is also untouchable. Hes a mean SOB and should be kept for the sake of not having to at some point play aginst him. And he's greatly improved over last year
His big weakness is when he gets pressured in his own end. He's more valuable to the Jackets than most Jackets fans realize, but maybe Tyutin + for Setoguchi or something to do with San Jose's 1st + a player?

I think Tyutin makes a lot of sense for SJ. I think he can do everything pretty well, but nothing spectacular. He's in ideal top 4 dman. Something around Tyutin and Seto might be good for both teams. Something like Seto and Huskins for Tyutin and Dorsett
Two-way would be nice but not overly concerned about the defensive side of the d-man at this point. The highest priority for a top four needs to be their puck-moving ability. They need someone who will do that in all three zones and be an offensive presence just as much as they need someone for their outlet pass. When you have Murray, Vlasic, and Wallin that are all defensive d-men (even if one of them sucks horribly), you don't need to add another stay-at-home guy that doesn't get involved offensively.

what about Babchuk? he moves the puck decently, smaller cap hit, pending UFA and a cannon on the PP...
