What? I think he meant the other players should up their game and not float around. Give 100% the whole game, instead of getting a lead then hanging back.

BTW

Martin said there is no official status update on Spacek and won't be one before the trading deadline.

BUT reports are that Sopes was given Spacek's locker room spot and Spacek's nameplate is no longer there.

Make it 3. #Canadiens Jaro Spacek is also done for the season joining Markov/Gorges. Besides Sopel Mtl desperately need to add another D.

I dunno, I think we've traded enough picks for D this season lol

So Spacek has a season ending injury and loses his locker and nameplate which is next to Hamrlik's? Makes no sense since Spacek's contract has another season and yet Gorges and Markov are also season ending with expired contracts but have their places in the "room".

The only way I can think of that it makes sense is if Spacek decided to retire or requested a trade. Whatever the case I don't like it because I wonder if it relates back to something else.

Very minor update, but I met Josh Gorges on Friday and asked him about his re-hab.

He said it's going, but a little slow. Still, confident he'll be up to 100% by summer, so he should have no problem being ready for training camp.

Another D? The Habs need a forward, Mara is in the pressbox.

Good news, boss; can't wait to see him next September.

Exactly. What the heck is Kyper talking about? We have:

Subban, Wisniewski, Hamrlik, Gill, Weber, Sopel, Mara and Picard. We don't need another defenseman. We need a top-nine forward - with size.

I think maybe he's referring to us going out and getting someone who can play Top 4 minutes, but I don't think we really need a guy like that anyways. Gill-Subban/Hamrlik-Wis can log pretty heavy minutes and they have been decent.

Let's not give up any more picks/prospects for bandaids on defense.

I'm guessing from today since he's going to be having surgery soon.

Looking back a few pages, it was posted one week ago in this thread that he might be out for the season, but I think he had already missed a game or two by that point(?)

Oh and wow, avatar's are back. It was like a power failure in here for a while.

4-6 weeks from today would be sometime between March 29 (regular season) and April 12 (playoffs)

Will Markov/Gorges be available for playoffs?

Or are they both definitively ruled out until the start of next season?

This seems surprising. I would have thought early summer.
Is this official info, or speculation ? And if so, based on what ?
