Don't know if anyone posted it yet, but according to CBC Martin said today that Pacioretty could be ready to play by the playoffs. His visit with the Dr. on Wednesday went very well apparently, ahead of schedule in his recovery.

Quote:
"It was clear when it was announced it was a fractured vertebra, but not displaced, and after a second observation [Wednesday] when he visited the specialist he was very happy with the progress so far," Martin said. "There was never a prognostic issued about the time of his absence."

Yeah I actually knew that before the Nos Canadiens show. I think it was La Presse which had a column a few months ago regarding how the Bell Centre is run on game day. They mentioned two things of interest: that the pre-game music is specifically chosen by the Habs players (they must love T-Pain) and that Plekanec is not only the first Hab to arrive at the Bell Centre, sometimes he'll arrive as early as 4:00 pm.

I want Patches to score the game 7 OT winner in the Eastern finals in Boston and push Chara out the way. LOL!

The would be...

I think there would be a mass suicide in Boston given the epic choke job last year.

The Bruins knew that they would lose against us last year. They could not face that reality and decided to lose against the Flyers.

Cammalleri should just rest if he's hurt, he's doing more damage than good right now, and we aren't in big trouble, I don't want him injured if we face Boston in the first round. He look slike a guy with a lot of back pain the way he skates, but I'm no doctor.

The question is, will the ECHL affiliate have enough players for the Habs come April?

From what I've gathered here...and please correct me (anyone!!) if I'm wrong...pretty please!!

Darche: skating with team...maybe 7 days away. I wouldn't rush him...I want him back at 100% healthy. This summer...sign him to another 1 year $500,000 (or $575,000!!). We owe him loyalty for being a solid all-heart warrior at a cheap price. And he owes our Habs for rejuvenating his career by giving him a fair shot...

Sopel: at least 3 more weeks away...hand or arm injury. I can't wait for him to come back. He'll be a very solid #4-5 dman for us during playoffs. His Cup victory and PK experience and grit is badly needed.

Pleks and Halpern: day-to-day (injuries are not serious and imo they should rest and not rush).

Spacek: might make a return to play 2-3 regular season games...I wouldn't rush him.

Pacioretty: might try to comeback for Round 1 or Round 2 of playoffs. I wouldn't rush, no way. Pacioretty's career VS this year's playoffs. His career wins. Sure I'd love to see him comeback and inspire our Habs, but I'd be too worried about how fragile he might be out there. Next September might be a wiser choice for Pacioretty, imo. He'll have 5 months of rest...that should be more than enough. No matter...it's his decision. I hope he'll avoid going towards the boards gung-ho style from now on...Max is so brave but I want him to not trust the opposition so much along the boards (the way PK Subban is always aware of what/who is around him).

Wow....he's very, very lucky.

Glad to hear he's alright and hope he puts a friggin' pair of socks
or three on next time....not to mention a pair of boots, and maybe a winter jacket and some gloves.

Wow. No socks and only tennis shoes in weather that has a wind chill of minus 30. He's lucky he didn't lose his foot nevermind some toes.

Glad to hear he's back tho.

Does that come from your sources or just speculation? Cause the official version was out for the season.

This guy is from Minnesota and he decides it's a good idea to walk in -33 temp with running shoes, no socks, sweatpants and a hoodie? Glad he's ok but I'm sorry that was just really dumb.
