I think this will be a tougher match up especially since I'm not sure the Preds will be able to partially take over the Madhouse like the Blackhawk fans did with Bridgestone yesterday. In some ways it was a little disheartening to hear "let's go Blackhawks" chants in a home game.

Also I don't think Crawford or Rinne did so bad as to warrant not playing them in back to backs given the importance of this game and the fact Lindback did get handled last time he started in Chicago.

What would make this matchup more fulfilling would be the return of Sully but that appears to be several more weeks away if at all this year and Erat did look somewhat rusty on his return, hopefully the rust is shaken off and he will be able to thrash the Hawks on home ice.

I agree that the hawks probably put crawford in again. Rinne would deserve to play again but Trotz may feel the rest to start the long road trip may be more important.

I asked Trotz last night about the swap of Erat and Hornqvist and he seemed to indicate that they will start that way again tonight.

Kostitsyn-Goc-Erat
Wilson-Legwand-Hornqvist

Buddy has Barry's press conference available to watch over @ PredsOnTheGlass.

i would not be surprised to see erat sit tonight, depending on how he feels this morning.

i also don't know about turco starting. while i see why trotz would go to lindback here, crawford has been playing exceptionally well outside of 10 min last night. i wouldn't start turco.

Has nothing to do with the game really, but it's my favorite song having to do with Chicago.

If we don't come out strong tonight we lose. I don't see us mounting a comeback with 20,000 Blackhawks fans cheering their team along. Then again I didn't see us mounting a comeback last night, so maybe it's all about the element of surprise

Go Preds

Halischuk has scored a few in the AHL lately and it isn't doing Thuresson any good to ride the pine.

How many games has Thureson been scratched while in Nashville? Hasn't he played when Belak sits? Or do you mean Halishuck provides a bit more offense/

Svatos just being cast into the wind?? Sure, he's just scored the 1 goal so far, but he was actually shooting the puck on a consistent basis.
Edit my own posting: just heard Willie and Tom discussing his abscence. He must be injured ;(surprise, surprise) anybody know what happened with that?

Thuresson is playing limited minutes and been in for only 3 of 4 games since his callup. No points. Even when he isn't scratched, he's on the bench.

I thought Thuresson helped spark the team last season when the Preds were playing softer than marshmallows around the net. He came in and banged around and tried to play gritty. The Preds played better, more like traditional Predator hockey, after that. Not sure if it had much to do with Andreas, but he didn't hurt.

But this time I'm interested to see what Halischuk can bring. I didn't have any big desire to see Thuresson get more ice time.

Stream? Fox Sports South isn't showing the game outside of Middle Tennessee, apparently...
