Caps win 7-2, Ovy with 2 g, 2a, Backstrom with 1g, 4a.....

Wait....I might be stuck in 2009.

I have the utmost faith in Bruce getting the team prepared to come out flying. All those late comebacks are signs of great coaching.

In Bruce we trust.

Our longest playoff run in what, 10 years. Its a thursday at LI, I am not too worried about it tanking our chances. The isles do it very well without fan interference.

The bigger reason i posted it was it was a gif. Unlike that run two years ago. Gif FTW.

Hard to get excited about this one. My predictions:

- Konopka beats up a Cap.
- Brads jumps Konopka from the stands. Then bleeds on him.
- Fehr breaks his other collarbone via Twitter.
- Steckel scores hat trick and accidentally pummels the Zamboni guy.

Caps win 3-0.

The way things have been going lately, we have been facked without him.

I see Holtby playing well tonight. Just like any call up I bet he's good for a game or two before he implodes

I'm changing my prediction. 4-2 Capitals with an ENG by.... Holtby.

Seriously though, Holtby should be fine. I predict one or two gaffes (might not lead to goals), but a solid game otherwise and some sweek puckhandling.

Worst case scenario is that Steckel injures Holtby.

In a huge twist, Steckel will find a way to blindside hit himself in the head, knocking him out for the season. He will receive universal praise for taking out one of the game's dirtiest cheapshot artists.

They were probably the same people annointing our #1 after the first couple games and then turning around and berating him after that last one (or two..can't remember)

He's a good young goalie who needs to go thru growing pains. This is good for him and the team to have him start. He's gonna be a good one.
