I"m assuming Poulin starts because DP is "ill." I have the feeling that this game can either turn out very good for him or be very ugly. It has the feeling of the Vancouver game all over it shotwise to me.

Oh my, this team is instantly better with Franz and KO back in the lineup.

Is Frans definitely playing? I fully expect KO to be a non factor tonight and have limited minutes, but it doesn't matter I'm just happy he's back. Hopefully that means no more of this 11 forward 7 d ********.

Not sure but I thought that was the consensus?

Strang just tweeted that all Lawson, DP, and Poulin were all on the ice for the skate. Didn't Lawson get sent down?

I thought Lawson was brought back up because DP was "ill."

I might be wrong about Frans, I just don't remember anyone saying he was playing tonight.

Ah gotcha. Makes sense. Not sure about Franzie. Maybe I just jumped the gun? Law has him on the 2nd line and the medical watch. No wonder he's our MVP.

you'll be even more pissed now because Schremp is sitting in favor of Gillies.

Okposo and Nielsen are back in and guess who starts in goal???
Rick DiPietro.

according to Strang via twitter, DP had fluids yesterday after some flu-like symptoms and feels good.
Not sure if she's talking after a medical diagnosis or a reach around but this game just took on a whole new meaning because of who's playing.

Pumped to see KO back in the line-up, but I expect to see him eased back in, maybe 12 mins if I had to take a guess. I would love to see him bury one tonight, as that would probably make him feel alot more comfortable out there... As far as DP starting goes I love it, he is still one of my favorite Islanders, I never got the hate for him amongst Isle fans, it's not like he asked to be hurt like he has been over the past few years, and it's not his fault Wang gave him a 15 yr deal. DP is 4-0 the last four games with a .942 SV % to boot. I still say hes the most important player for the Islanders to have success, as the season goes on he's going to keep getting better, you dont play 13 games in two years and expect to be right back in form right away, it takes awhile and I think his play of late is showing he's headed back in that direction. With all that said I say Isles win 4-2 tonight. Tavares, Moulson, Comeau and Nielsen throws in the empty netter.

Just read this:

Knowing DiPietro usually does not skate the morning he plays, assume he will not play tonight.

So...
Parenteau plays over Okposo
Gillies plays over Schremp
Lawson gets starts in A over Poulin

Yay Crapuano.

I'm sure Grabner will be screwed as well.

Accoring to our local paper here Frans is playing. His father is a journalist there so I guess he should know.

I'll be there in 123X tonight. Got these as my Montreal substitute.

Interested to see what the team will look like with Nielsen and Okposo back.

You know you couldve taken the Isles/Rags game in March, right?

Yes, I know I could have.

Honestly I'd rather see Ovechkin, Backstrom, Carlson, etc than the Rags. I'll also enjoy not listening to their idiot fans for an entire game.

I guess i still haven't given up on these guys flirting with .500 and shutting up some haters before season's end. Here's to a strong season debut from Okposo.

One (not entirely pointless) win at a time.

Go Isles.
