Eh, maybe I'll give them another shot. It's been awhile since I've listen to them. Any recommendations Chain?

I want to say I saw them open for REM about 120 years ago and they definitely stole the show. I could definitely be mis-remembering them w/ the band 'Live' who also opened up for some band that I used to like but also stole the show. Both were relatively unknown when I saw them, so it was kinda cool to see a band that goes on to be 'something' when they are an opening act.. lol

Between the surprise Arcade Fire win last night and this, it has been a good day in the music world.

That's funny that you mentioned "Live". "Live" opened for the Counting Crows a while back (decade maybe *cringe*). I was at the concert to see the Counting Crows, but ended up becoming a "Live" fan. Ed Kowalczyk is one helluva performer.

I wonder which iteration of Muse you've heard...I really liked their first 3 CD's (up to the one with Our Time is Running Out on it) but I really haven't liked either of their last two much at all. I was lucky enough to see them live after the 3rd CD came out, and they rocked out.

The other stuff sounded alright, but I really liked the two songs from Kid A. I think I'll go ahead and give that album a spin first. Thanks for the suggestions!

I wasn't really a fan of their first CD, "Showbiz," but I really liked their next three albums (especially Origin of Symmetry, one of my all-time favorite albums). Then..."The Resistance" came out. I was pretty damn disappointed to say the least at how recycled that album was, especially since Muse had 3+ years to work on it. The other thing I didn't like was that there was less guitar and more electronica.

On the whole though, they're a good band and I'd absolutely recommend "Origin of Symmetry", "Absolution," and "Black Holes & Revelations" as great albums to pick up.

Showbiz is what got me hooked on them . I don't know if it's as consistent as Origins of Symmetry or Absolution, but there are some awesome songs on there. I was personally not a fan at all of Black Holes and Revelations, so the new one wasn't much of a letdown for me

Vacation begins tomorrow. Thank god.

I'm bringing P90x vids with me. I give it a 30% chance that I do anything.

I can't wait to drink a martini.

Well, at least reality matches expectation. It's not like your chances of being disappointed on VD drop to zero when you're dating / once you're married.
