1/21/10 "Where We're Going, We Don't Need Defense" - Lightning VS Panthers
Tonight, your Panthers will get out to a convincing lead, blow it late and end up losing all in an attempt to make it seem like they have a good team but mentally can't handle any real pressure, thus negating any chance the playoffs are a viable possibility...VS the Tampa Bay Lightning!
Unfortunately you never when or where, a lead will be blown...
We're calling up how many defensemen now?!
Great scott! Even Stamkos cringes when we blow a lead!
That's our powerplay? Boy this is heavy.

Disaster Prediction:
Deboer is running out of options. He's lost three defensemen and knows that what's available in Rochester isn't ready for prime time. He's getting desperate.
Game time and he sees the Lightning players practicing their slashing techniques and sharpening the blades of their sticks in preparation for dealing with the remaining Panthers defensemen. It will be just 4 of them against an army of dozens...well, at least nearly 2 dozen...definitely 19 plus a backup goalie. How will they hold? But he knows they must buy time so that his brave forwards can find that which has eluded them for so long...the opponent's net. Only if they have the time to find this net can they achieve victory - the defensemen must defend the pass to their own net to the last man to buy them the time they need.
Then, as if by magic, he accidentally opens a storage closet and notices a faint glow in the darkness. An item of pure magic is before him - he uncrumples it - he'd heard of its legend, but thought it lost to the annals of time...or more precisely, the dustbin of history. He smooths it out and prepares for war. He now knows the odds will be more favorable with this secret weapon.
He has found the power of Cardboard Biron...

Can we all agree to not use this game for either side of the PDB argument...as far as winning/losing?
If he calls timeout at the wrong time or something, whatever, but Scotty Bowman wouldn't be expected to finish better than 29th with all these injuries lineup.

If he manages to win this game with the d-core we have then that would be pretty impressive. I don't see how we win tonight if Garrssion is out too. However, if we lose then it's only fair not to blame anyone because of such a depleted d-core.

he's not going to win the game, the players will.
and i'd probably give more credit to murph, since he's gotta handle the pairings and matchups and keep both callahan (who looked ok last time up) and wilson's head on straight.

I say we don't use this because obviously if we lose, then SURPRISE! LOL
