Too many players have not shown up tonight or been invisible to win a hockey game.

Nothing has felt dangerous tonight. Good chances, yeah, but in a kind of muted, sort of out of it kind of way. I don't know. I don't want to say mailing it in, but just not quite all there. The Sharks have looked more dangerous, had more urgency.

I think, anyway. I could just be projecting.

every time we approach playoff position the team relaxes, get's a couple optional practices (or none at all) and then looks like they forgot how to play hockey in the meantime. Burns has been bad. following Koivu and backstrom come kobasew and nystrom as just being invisible.
everyone else is on the bad side of the line.

I've only been partially watching, but I think Burns has been pretty good (and not because he just scored a goal).

Funny (as Burns scores), I was thinking Burns has looked pretty good tonight, at least offensively. He made at least one rush where I thought he was Havlat for a moment.

Edit: Well, at least it wasn't filled with Heatley's creepy mug.

Same here. I thought burns was our best player other than koivu and backs.

Don't think they played that bad. The 2nd period was atrocious though and why they lost the game. Why are they so ****ing bad in that period?

Nice effort at the end. The 2nd period doomed us again, but the Sharks have been playing well lately; can't win them all, especially on the road. Beat Chicago and we can call this a successful road trip leading into the break.

Burns made some mistakes but played great besides that. Koivu and Backstrom were beasts. The rest of the team was invisible. Spurgeon was bad. Mittens didn't do anything. Nobody else did ****.

Stoner was by far the worst defenseman. Took stupid penalties that led to goals

I thought Cullen had pretty strong game as well, at least in the offensive zone and on the rush. Havlat looked disinterested to me.

Douglas Murray is easily the most annoying player in the NHL and it's not because he's that good; I've seen WWII Battleships that turn faster than he does.

And on a seperate note; why does Torrey Mitchell never play against the Wild since he broke Foster's leg? Because honestly somebody needs to kick his a$$ for that hit.

Havlat looked better toward the end, but yeah, otherwise he wasn't much there. I think he was the one covering (and then not) Ferriero, leading to his goal. Hopefully he's just saving up to play Chicago or something.
