Raonic has won the 1st set at the Australian open.

Anyone has a free streaming to catch the game?

Rangers vs Caps. Tough one, but I'm rooting for the Rags.

My logic is that if the Rangers win, they jump ahead 2 points of us but we have 2 games in hand, while if the Capitals lose, we have a game in hand and we're within tying distance (only 3 points out as opposed to 5)

Rangers down 1-0, but dominating the overall play so far.

Komisarek with 7:11 minutes of ice time and 8:28 last game against Washington.

Leafs are paying him an awful lot of money for that piddly amount of ice time.

Burke should listen to his own advice and bury that contract in the minors.....Finger can't be any worse.

Bruins lose 2-0 to LA. Even in Games Played with the Habs with 2 more points. Huge blow for them losing Savard with another concussion. 2nd to 8th in the conference is still crap shoot and very attainable for the Habs considering how they've played through major injuries thus far. Not so sure the Bruins are the same without Savard, however. The loss to LA tonight was the first test and failed.

still 3 games left with them. a series sweep could make it interesting. its odd to me how Thomas is so good vs other teams but Montreal handle him well.

Yup, if we can win tomorrow against the best team in the East it would be huge. Too bad the Rangers won but we are only 2pts back with 2 games in hand and we hold the tiebreaker. (It's not just wins anymore, it's wins excluding SO wins. Rangers have 24, Habs 26)

Halak 0.8848 sv% last 5 games. Why is no one wants to discuss Halak on this board?

Funny how it didn't last long the "Price vs Halak". After a pretty good start Halak has slowed down, glad Carey is doing well and I still hope the same for Halak, wish him the best but he doesn't play for us anymore so I'm glad we kinda moved on

This is extremely funny, its about Ottawa, here is a quote:

They're about to embark on a thorough rebuilding of an Ontario-based team under the leadership of a former Anaheim Ducks general manager -- how could that ever go wrong?

Typical behaviour, it only matters what the goalie has done lately.

Because Price is doing better than him. If it was the other way around we'd have the Price vs Halak thread still going, though

He had that 1 good stretch earlier this year but besides that not very impressive so far. Only good number this season is his 4 shutouts

They've had a pretty rough time with injuries too though, haven't they? Regardless, those aren't impressive numbers.

I'm sure we'll see some it whenever Price has a bad stretch and Halak's doing ok. Somehow I doubt every last person has moved on.

Back in October, I had suggested everyone compare Halak vs Price when they both had played 60 games...we are getting close...all along I maintained Halak couldn't handle the load of 60+ games...gonna be interesting...

I think it would be more appropriate to compare them a few years down the road rather than after 60 games this season, when both will be deep into their development stages.
