So Sully grew up about 100-120 miles away from Chicago, went to college there, spoke fondly of his experience there even before Chicago picked him up, lived there during the offseason while he played there, and finished his degree in between games?
I get "heart and soul" comparisons, but there's additional details of importance.
Not sure where you get some of this. Timmins Ont is about 750 miles from Chicago. I won't get into details, but he may have liked the city but the feelings for the Blackhawk organization is much different.

She was being sarcastic, what she described was Umberger and his relationship with the Bluejackets/Columbus.

You talking about Mike comrie in Edmonton? I was only saying "never say never" but I highly doubt it would happen. Mostly just being a smart butt.

Fair enough.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!
but right now where would we put him? he isnt going to displace Wilson, Erat, Hornqvist or Kostitsyn at this point, and he wouldnt fit on the Smithson/Spaling/Ward line
so, we trade for this guy and then stick him with Mueller and Dumont?

I dont see it.
It ain't happening. But if it did, put him with Sully and Dumont, (assuming Sully is healthy). And give them limited shifts. Mueller is back in MIL as soon as Sully returns.

Mueller is a center. God help us if Trotz puts Sully or Dumont at center.

If sullivan returns you have to take a wing out of the lineup, which at this point would be halisuck. No fault of his own, but he would be first send down bc of position and contract. Mueller isn't going anywhere for a while I don't think, unless the ward/smithson/ward line starts to suck. With all these home games coming up, trotz will have no hesitation throwing his defensive wubby line out there agaist teams top lines every third/fourth shift. A trade/lombardi remembering who he is/o'reilly robotic new leg are the only things to boot mueller from the lineup right now.

Filatov is a winger.
I'd love to pick him up in the off-season. Give him a one-year trial, and if he doesn't work out, he's free to leave. He'll be a star in Russia for years, but I can't help but think of the success we've had with Kostitsyn when I see Filatov...
If I thought for a second Arnott could help our PP I wouldn't be opposed to getting him at the deadline. The only year our PP was good when Arnott was here was 06-07.
Of course, I'm not sure there are any players available within our price range who can come in and help our PP.
