I have pick #316 and am looking to move up. I'm not looking for a huge deal, and I'm not looking to trade any of my current roster players.

If you have 2 picks before 420 and want to move up, I'm your man.

I will trade my pick 331 for 2 additional picks between now and 420 and a significant upgrade (or 2 moderate upgrades) later.

PM me with offers.

Not that I really care or anything because it doesn't bother me at all that you did this....but isn't this kind of just working around the rules that you can't trade on the clock or else you get an hour penalty. That's really the only reason I can see someone waiting til they're ont he clock, selecting, then trading the pick. Like I said I have no issue with it and in fact I think you should be allowed to trade on the clock.....but any thoughts on that?

Yeah, you're right. But if I remember correctly, this was not frowned upon in this ATD or the last one.

I'll Vouch for Billyshoe, in that he was not intending to trade while he was on the clock. I sent him a pm and we closed the deal within 2 mins. If anybody had to take a clock hit here it should be me.

Well both of you have seniority in this thing over me this is my first one soo pretty much I'm just asking as far as what the rules are with that.

This is only my 2nd ATD, but from what I can recall as long as the players is selected then drafted no penalty applies. (Yes I realize this is an easy route to neglect the penalty.)

1) It's already settled that if you trade a pick on the clock, you are docked an hour.

2) BillyShoes was already docked an hour for missing his clock before making the trade. The pick was no longer on the clock when he traded.

In short, Billy is docked a single hour from the clock, no matter what technicality you want to use. Carry on.

This isn't what happened this time, since Billy's clock had long expired.

But it's been discussed and decided in this draft that if you do this sort of thing with a pick on the clock, you are docked an hour just like if you traded a pick on the clock.

(There is no blanket prohibition on trading picks on the clock anymore just an hour penalty, so no need for a work around).

The 3 trade rules was there so the ATD doesn't become a circus , but once every team is made I don't see why we couldn't trade players , it probably wouldn't happen too much.

I know it's been settled , I'm talking for future ones.

I didn't know the 3-trade rules at the time of my first trade , do you seriously think I would really have wasted it on something like:

2nd - 159 - 233 - 444

for

3rd - 158 - 232 - 443

I was planning to do the same exploit when I was negotiating on the clock for Thornton, I knew who he wanted.

So you wanted him to draft Thornton then trade him to you immediately afterwards?

That would have been obvious to everyone and he would have been docked an hour.

It's funny how so many opposed trading yet only three teams live through with their beliefs...
