70s list is flawed, I made one trade.

No, he wanted me to draft Petrov then trade him to him for Thornton immediately after.

I would have? I was expecting not to be but I wouldn't have protested

Yeah, I fixed that before I even saw you said that

and I edited the list to point out that I neglected to mention 10 other tradeless teams.

I thought Reen complained that he already had made his 3 trades?

That is correct. I updated the list again.

But what is strange, is that there is now an odd number of total trades, and it should be even. But it wasn't due to a Montreal Canadiens trade not being recorded. Trinec/Chicago, Tidewater, and Detroit Riots, Montreal's three trading partners, are all properly accounted for.

I just updated the OP with the total trades of teams. I just did it off the trades list in the draft thread. Hopefully I didn't miss one.

I wasn't opposed to trades because I didn't want to do them.

Where did you find that the Steelers have three trades? I only saw 2 in the draft OP.

You have us (Tidewater) as only one trade. It should be two.

Ahh, so I was wrong; you were not properly accounted for. I fixed it. the list should now mirror the OP, which I didn't even know was there.

jarek, we should put the list of teams with 0 trades in the OP - It's going to become useful to teams looking for trade partners, as the number of eligible teams is going to continue to get smaller.

I wouldn't mind trading up here. If anyone who picks before the end of this round doesn't like your draft position, feel free to PM me. My next three picks are 411, 414, and 470.

San Jose Sharks trade their 11th and 23rd to the Portland Pirates for an 11th and 17th. Cognition to confirm.

Is a 17th round pick far enough along for us to be in garbage territory?

Please post the pick numbers this trade involves.

I think from now on, I'm going to veto every multi-round trade where the GMs involved don't actually list the picks, just out of principle.

It makes it extra work for the trade committee to evaluate the trade, it makes it extra work for the administrator to update the draft thread, and it gives the appearance that the GMs involved didn't actually take the time to figure out what exactly they are trading.

I agree with TDMM. That trade looks massively bad anyways.

Speaking of which, a 17th round pick is probably going to end up being a 4th liner/bottom pairing D.. far from garbage in a draft this huge.

Are you ****ing kidding me?

I'm trading a starter for a MLD level guy so that I could move up in the next round.

How the hell is this trade unbalanced? especially given other trades that have gone through?

Will someone with a sense of reason please step the **** up?

Rather than blowing a gasket, how about you do what you're asked and actually post the picks involved?

Anyway, to answer your question, the round disparity looks like a lot. If it was a 15th and 21st round pick for a single round upgrade, I would be inclined to veto.

Here, a 17th round pick is basically a #6 defenseman or elite 4th liner.

So you're basically trading a #6 defensemen/elite 4th liner for a bench warmer in exchange for moving up a certain number of spots in the 11th round.

Okay.

429 and 669 for 401 and 881.

It's a double win. I have one guy on my list now, Cognition has a couple of guys he is thinking with his 11th round pick. In exchange he gets another quality starter and I have to reach into the MLD pool to get a starter.
