Pretty much what everyone else said.

Plus, Panthers can't win a trade with the Canucks

Didn't think it was necessary since every Canucks fan posts that in every proposal involving the Canucks.

Okay, we know you want Hodgson, but you're not getting him. Quit making proposals even you laugh at.

I'd do Samuelsson + 1st or Raymond + Hansen. Samuelsson doesn't really help but he is a good veteran with an extra year on his contract so you can flip him next year for another pick but he's mainly in here for salary reasons. Raymond is a good young wing and Hansen will add versatility to your line-up. Both can be a good part of the constant rebuild.

Weiss is a center but Kesler and can play and has played wing.. or Weiss can move to the wing but the Canucks won't go far without adding another legitimate scorer cause Raymond + Samuelsson sure as hell won't cut it. Yes, I am aware that Samuelsson had a ridiculous year last year in the playoffs but I am also aware that a lot of that can be credited to the Sedins. Using Samuelsson on that top line made Burrows move down, thus limiting Burrows' effectiveness. Only one of those forwards can play with the Sedins.. the other won't be able to produce with Raymond + Kesler (see: last year). Kesler has dramatically improved his game but a lot of his scoring comes from that top unit and at ES his linemates are simply not up to par. This is the Canucks' best chance at this point in the season ever and the push must be made now.

The real joke is there's room for Hords in a Panthers uni but not Grabner.

4. Weiss has a NMC.
As bad as the Flames? I Don't think so! They win in that category

I'm not that opposed to this.

At 3.1milli playing alongside Kes and Raymond or Kes and Old Samuel, he could be quite the bargain. He currently sits at 33 points, playing for the Panth, one of the most offensively challenged teams in the NHL. If he wasn't opposed to playing wing, I think he could of had 40-42 points by now. Conservatively that would pro-rate to about 65 points.

65 points for 3.1 sounds good to me.

Florida has a complete outlier of a GA stat that can be attributed to Vokoun and a not so shabby D. If Florida were a hockey market and could spend up to the cap, i have no reservation of calling them a playoff team. It's sad to see a good team to go waste because of internal salary caps.
So with that in mind, Florida needs to add offense. By giving up their #1 scorer, kinda taking a step backward. If I were Florida in this situation and were asked for Wiess, I'd ask for one Forward and one Defenceman, both under 25. Both of which could be found elsewhere at a better bargain than Vancouver, when considering cap.

I think the Canucks have a need for Weiss. It gives them someone to play on the third line that can contribute some offense on EN and on the 2nd unit PP. Moves Malholtra down to the 4th line while playing PK and taking all the important faceoffs.

Value is off though. Max I would consider is 1st + Raymond.
