I don't hate Martin or anything, but I'd can him and take Muller behind the bench in a heartbeat.
That would be a disaster , you can't make an long time assistant coach head coach like that, on the same team.Guy Boucher should really be behind our bench right now but we're stuck with the penguin , he sucks , now hire Lindy Ruff plz.
I think Muller is ready to coach in the NHL, I always pictured him behind our bench, still a long way to the end of the season and anything is possible, so let's keep our fingers crossed and hope he stays with the Habs long term. If he is to go then I wish him all the best he deserves to be a head coach
For those of us who were around in 93 this is hard to swallow.
But, it's a business and you have to understand the guy for wanting to move forward with his career.
One of the true warriors of the bleu-blanc-rouge right there. Love having him behind the bench. Let's hope we can pull off some more theatrics this spring to give him a last good playoff run in Montreal.
If management keeps Martin over Muller i will puke.
First we let Boucher walk and now we may let Muller walk?
Get the barf bag ready or run for the toilet cause Martin is here to stay. I would love to see Muller behind the bench but unless he is an expert french talker in private, then I believe he will be a head coach elsewhere. Here is a short list of where I believe he will go.
1. New Jersey. With Muller being one of the Devils greatest picks and his success with the Devils and the fact that lemaire is just a band-aid, I believe this to be his first destination if he is to leave.
2. Toronto. You have to believe that Wilsons tenure will be over after this season, though him and Burke are like Oprah and Gail, I believe his time is up behind the bench there.
3. Ottawa. With Melnik saying to the Ottawa papers that a plan is already in place for next year, I believe Muller to be on their short list if he's available.
Of course he may just end up staying here but he definitely deserves a shot somewhere, He has been great in his role here but will sadly never be the head coach because of the language thing.
Definitely between Ottawa and New Jersey. Makes sense on many levels either way. I don't see Burke turning away from Wilson as early as next season; more glaring problems with decision-making and execution (onus on players) as opposed to apparent lack of preparation and strategy (onus on coaching).
