St. Louis needs to seriously consider adding Conroy. They are 25th in the league in faceoffs and their PK is continuing to slide. With the injuries they have he would be a welcome addition.
I think Conroy would love being back with teh Blues as well... I really hope he gets plucked my the Blues or Habs... he deserves a chance to finish his career in a city he knows and loved playing for
I would hate to see Conroy finish his career in the minors
If I am the Rangers I absolutely pick him up. Can't be any worse than Todd White and if these injuries continue (no reason to think they won't with the way things have gone this year) I doubt they want 4 AHLers anchoring their 3rd and 4th lines.
Well this isn't good; Conroy rubs Iginla's head every night before he goes to sleep and infuses him with 24 hours of a personality... Moving his best bud may be a harbinger of things to come; esp with all the Iggy rumors floating around of late.
Are the Flames still at the contract maximum? Maybe they've just decided that now is the time to lose a contract, before othre teams start unloading like crazy as well.
To be fair he was washed up before the season started. They did him a major favor by bringing him back at all. The Flames have a lot of bodies at the centre position.
I'm sorry, but Conroy knew the deal when he signed up this year. The Flames don't owe him an unlimited NHL career. Sure Conroy has done a lot for the organization, but the organization has also provided him with millions and gave him the opportunity to play with Iggy, which vastly boosted his numbers. At this point, the Flames are paying him to sit on the bench.
The guy is 39 years old, and should have been thinking about retirement for the last 2 years.

nope with Watt and the Flames parting ways we are down to 49 contracts
Well, 2 years ago he nearly had 50 points as a 37 year old. Probably the best money per point player in the league at that time. I don't know how many times he took a pay cut for the better of the organization.

I don't really understand this. Craig has heart and is a great guy off the ice. He's also Iggy's best friend.
I hope he doesn't get claimed and takes a position off the ice with the Flames.
