anyway I see PHI/PIT as a good team to keep players motivated from the start of every period in the series. effort + hot Varly = win?
I'm with you, actually. These are the teams that the Caps are implicitly measured against. Just get it over with.

... unrelated note.. regarding some earlier discussion on Knuble. I think again people tend to mistake opinions on tactics with hate. I have nothing but respect for Knuble, just think he's ill-suited/too slow to be a 1st liner on this team with 8 and 19. Same way I think Laich is a solid guy, but see him as a very good 3rd line player with a very limited offensive skillset. Or, I marvel at Semin's incredible talent, but recognize that the Caps might be better off trading him and his inconsistency (if they can get a decent return). Green, etc.. People throw around the word "hate" far too easily.

Did I just hear that the Caps PP is 1-for-18 in their last 8 games?

Forget the 1... that it's only out of 18 is atrocious.

The new PP may start with Ovi passing. Our best chance was him passing to Nick.

i hate to ask, but is box score watching any less exciting than actually watching the games these days?

this one was pretty decent for the first 10 minutes or so. it's slowed down a bit lately.

i wish ovechkin had scored there.

I've been thinking is it worth staying awake to watch these games anymore, it's 2:48am here.

Two teams playing the trap in an empty building. No wonder ESPN went with Poker.

our PP guys need to realize Ovi is in passing mode this year. I cant ever remember him passing so much. Let him QB the PP. Not always be the one dimensional blaster from the point. Dont move him. Its more for the others to figure out, not him.

Cue Tex and the shots on goal stat.
