Mike Babcock would be good. He already knows the city or muller because he knows the players.

Easy, Dan Bylsma! He looked great on 24/7, he rewards his guys for working hard plus looks like a very professional man

That's cause Burke is the GM and he's giving away those lottery picks.

Habs would be first in the league that you would still hear some head coach bashing...

I think Jacques Martin is the best one to coach this team, he has experience, he is respected all around the league and the Habs are in good posture to make the playoffs despite losing 2 key defensemen.. He has brought a structure, a system and Im proud of the work ethic displayed by my team about every night.. We cant win all them and we have the players we have, its not perfect but its still pretty good, we have some young players with untapped potential, personally Im thrilled about the last stretch of the season and I think Gauthier has the assets to make a big trade as well...

I think it would be pretty bad ass to see John Tortorella yelling at every penalty call against, smacking players in back of their head and getting into verbal arguments with the reporters after the game.

I would love seeing him shut up the dumb RDS commentators!

I wouldn't want to lose Jacques Martin. I like his calm demeanor and he doesn't get too high after a win or too low after a loss. His system seems to be very effective at absorbing the impact of injuries too. Sure it has its downfalls but for the most part if you keep the score close you have a chance to win every night. I also like a coach who doesn't show too much emotion and I like defensive hockey. (the selke is my favourity trophy) It's a personal preference I can see why some would not like defensive-minded coaching. The worst coach is that clown in Washington imo. (name escapes me right now). He's a glorified cheerleader if you ask me. Really not a fan of his.

Having said that, if I had to pick someone else I'm probably go with Babcock, Bylsma or even Lemaire.

Of the coaches we could have signed. I would have loved Peter Laviolette. He has an excellent offensive and defensive balance and is capable at utilizing speed on what had been perceived a relatively slow Philadelphia squad. With the present Hab roster, the team would explode night in and night out, which is what should be our system.

But anyways, how about this trio:

GM: Tony Marinaro
Head Scout: PJ Stock

Jacques Lemaire. If he was in Jersey all season, they would be top 5 in the east right now. Maclean was'nt ready for the NHL......I hope Muller is.... We all critique coaches but it aint easy to be an NHL coach. They have to be shrinks for most of the babies sitting in front of them and have to put up with alot of crap from the media and all the failures usually fall on their heads but credit usually goes to the players when things are good.

Yours truly

Jacques Martin.

I'm amazed that no one suggested Jacques Lemaire. Is no one aware of the turnaround in New Jersey since Lemaire took over? The Devils have beaten some very good teams recently. Oh yes, he speaks French.

Excactly. Martin is the perfect coach for this group of pansies. That's how he and Gauthier likes hockey.

If we want a different style we better have different players too.
