Speculation Over

Forsberg signed for the rest of the season.

Kinda funny how the Rangers couldn't beat the Devils, and the Devils already scored 2 on a team that shut the Rangers out.

A good sign going forward.

Ah, reverted back to my old name. The novelty of an inside joke name wears off eventually.

Lets go Debbies and Blues! I could see Tampa slipping down, and WAS taking over that division. SO who knows if we might be fighting with TB down the stretch, anyways go NJ/STL.

Nice. It should be interesting to see if he manages to stay healthy though.

Devils are playing arguably the best hockey in the nhl right now

Yeah, Devs are done for several years, just like all you guys said based on the first half of the season

Meanwhile, a few more losses and our team will be in full panic mode.

Stamkos with his 40th.

But remember, the draft 'experts' told us he was no Crosby or Ovechkin !

It's Lemaire and the trap that's saving them from being a total embarrassment this season. I'd hold any judgements, positive or negative, until Lemaire leaves and they get a new coach.

My point is the Devs nor Kovalchuk are 'done' like a lot here seemed to be saying just a few weeks ago.

Eh, any person with a brain knew it wouldn't last for more than a season or, at best, some of next season. They still have a subpar d-corp that was exposed when they weren't trapping and I do not like their offense at all past a Kovalchuk-X-Parise line.

Also, if Parise does not resign due to whatever reason (though I bet he will) that hurts.

Though you're right, with a non-slumping Kovalchuk, Parise back, and the trap they're still a very good team, I wouldn't say their struggles are over. Alot hinges on what Lou does for next season regarding coaching and contracts.
