Eh, any person with a brain knew it wouldn't last for more than a season or, at best, some of next season. They still have a subpar d-corp that was exposed when they weren't trapping and I do not like their offense at all past a Kovalchuk-X-Parise line.
Also, if Parise does not resign due to whatever reason (though I bet he will) that hurts.
Though you're right, with a non-slumping Kovalchuk, Parise back, and the trap they're still a very good team, I wouldn't say their struggles are over. Alot hinges on what Lou does for next season regarding coaching and contracts.
