I have a feeling I'll be posting in this thread a ton. This is an old local band that disbanded and came to form The Hold Steady a few years later, they're kind of awesome.

I saw Lifter Puller many times. Their last CD was dedicated to a guy I used to play in a band with. Huge fan of theirs who died of cancer in high school. The guys from the band came to the funeral. Class acts.

Several songs that might have influence on how to spend your weekend in a meaningful way

And all the finns who hate folk metal can wear these

Very beautiful instrumental piece called "Kivi Itkee Vihreää" by Viikate. Especially good if you're feeling moody.

Gal likes this band a lot, I'm sort of 'eh' on them. But like this track quite a bit:

After seeing Avett Brothers last week, bought two of their albums. Good band.

Avett Brothers remind me of a folk version of the Beatles sometimes.

Sweet song. Thanks for posting.

Their album has good reviews on Amazon. I'm going to preview some other tracks.

But your username misled me into thinking you'd post a song like this:

I'm not a vegan or anarchist but I'm pretty stoked to hear this record. These guys shred.

I've heard this on the Current quite a few times but wasn't sure who it was. Thanks for the post!

For any Fleet Foxes fans, this is their drummer's new project. Here's a pretty interesting video with Aubrey Plaza from Parks and Rec.

I like Fleet Foxes and this doesn't disappoint.

Yep. The Father John Misty record is very solid. However, his dramatic effeminate stage presence gave me a good laugh.

The Classic Crime: Not a very well-known band but they really do rock. Probably my favorite band i've ever encountered. Here are a few of their best songs.

(found a better version)

They also recently released two songs that will be on their upcoming album "Phoenix".

Hope you enjoy!
