Don't let Antropov's size fool you....he plays more like he's 5'8 than 6'6. He's not A physical player at all.

There is no spot for Modin on our roster. Every single one of our guys in the bottom six competes hard and provides something of value. I do love Modin but hes older and a lot less useful than the cup days. No thanks.

These are tough trades to make. Antropov is an underacheiver with too large a cap hit for what he brings to the table. Hainsey is a just a bad, bad contract, Redden/Commodore bad. Fragile Freddy Modin? He was available to every team at no cost all summer.

Antropv might bring a 3/4th round pick from a team with injury problems. Modin might bring the kind of deal he brought last year, a 6th round conditional. The condition was if the Kings won the Cup! Hainsey? Good luck too much term.

Hainsey has the most value IMO, he has been a very strong defenseman in his own zone this season. Bad contract, sure. It sounds like the Thrashers are looking to take on a bad contract in return.

Modin could be a gem in playoffs. He showed it in LA and even more in Tampa where he had 19 pts in 23 playoff games.
