Have you been able to get through the entire Max Plyo without cheating? I am like 2 sets away now (4-5 minutes left)... didn't tap out from any other exercises and only took breaks when Shaun T said to.

This **** is so bad ass that eventhough my my diet still isn't straight have still lost another 3 lbs (189 as of today) and I am seeing definition everywhere. I am not eating like a slob, but I would say my diet is only what it normally is 4 days a week with about 3 cheat days thrown in... I just need to get down to one cheat day (so hard this time of year though).
That’s good that you’re keeping a back work out- Shoulders can get messed up with working out to much chest and no back.

Dam= 2months of 2nd routine? That’s nuts! Do you play hockey or other sports? Your foot speed has to be getting insane. Watch out Sid lol

And to be honest- No I haven’t made it through without dropping out for a set or two- But hey, ill get there eventually.

Ya I realized that off the bat so luckily I was on top of it from day 1.

Well keep in mind I was highly conditioned before I started these vids - I was doing hill training and sprint loading for cardio and circuits, giant sets, etc for anaerobic training.

That is why when I say I am dropping weight, it speaks volumes for the routine because I am not 50 lbs overweight.

Ya my foot speed is getting pretty slick, but I am done playing competitive sports - too old.

I'm 36 now - so I don't play competitive hockey anymore. I did up until about 10 years ago. I just play for fun now - but very rarely since my daughter was born.

No shame in that bro. You just have to really focus on breathing and find ways to push through self-imposed barriers. Your mind always makes you give up long before your body truly can't take anymore.

Let me know when you get through the vids.

I used to play competitive hockey, but now I just play for fun as well-but man what a difference- I also have a baby girl , turning two- so I understand about not making it to the rink- However I’m not In peak shape like you- I get what you mean about the push through- So hard when your alone. Now I’m working out with a roommate so it’s more accountability. I’ll let you know when I get through it- but you might be waiting awhile lol.

My tailbone is still hurting but i cans it just fine, but today at work the swinging door hit my back and WOW!!! the pain was brutal. I'd laugh too at someone falling that way, i sometimes see people fall that way on youtube and laugh my ass off, so i don't care really, it is pretty funny falling that way at the image of watching it. As for my results....meh. 10 pounds is 10 pounds i suppose, but my arms are much bigger and now when people grab my arm they are like WOW.

I'm getting screwed! 4 years ago i signed a 2 year contract, it ended and i'm still getting paid because i never ended it. I cancelled my gym membership 2 days before i actually got the next months payment and i get told i'm supposed to pay for 1 more month, wtf! so i go to my bank and get them to block payments from the gym because they have NO RIGHT STEALING my money, the contract ended 2 years ago, i cancelled 2 days before my next payment but this is NOT WITHIN MY CONTRACT! it's a void contract since it's just 2 years. I get an email saying i owe 52.79 for December and they added a $20 fee on top of it. I go to the gym with my dad, as he wanted words with them, and my uncle is raging at this happening and he's well known in this mall as a store owner. Anyway we go in, tell her wtf? and she says i wont be charged, and she will fix it and i think "YES!" because this can really **** up your credit. Anyway my dad phones me on my cell telling me they phoned back and i do have to pay because i did not give them 30 days notice....rofl! they now said "i'll take care of it" again. I have a feeling i'll be needing a lawyer and a lawsuit coming... no contract = no 30 day cancellation. Just them trying to con free money out of me.

To keep this on topic....i'm almost 1 week into my 3 months again (round 2). Bring It!

Wow man! That sucks that you have to deal with that- Gyms are shady like that, always do month to month with no commitment, even if you have to pay a little more- But im sure you’ll never sign up with a gym again now that you have p90x. I used to work at a gym and we had to have a letter mailed to us 1 month before the contract was up in order to cancel. Its pretty much the gym hoping people are too lazy to go through all the hoops and hurdles- which results in more money for them.

As for my workouts I’m finishing up week two of my p90x/insanity. I’m getting crazy results this time. This is what I’m doing.

- Eating same thing every day- Protein shake& banana for breakfast, grilled chicken& quinoa for lunch- protein bar snack, Chicken sand for dinner with hummus- Whole oat bread. 1600- 1900 cal max
- I work out at 5:30 a.m – on the lifting days I go for a 4 mile run at night. I feel so slim the next am.
- Work out buddy- Now that I have a roommate to work out, I push way harder than before. I don’t stop early- I complete every insanity & p90x and abs workout- down to the very last stretch.
- I’m also tracking every rep, I didn’t do this before. Now I know that I do 15 reps for every pull-up I do- Assisted with a chair of course. Next month- no chair.

The first week I shocked the hell out of my body and was beat and tired- This week I feel amazing- I have enough energy to run every night, but since I’m so heavy I want to make sure I give my knees and ankles some rest. I think if I keep this up I might end up on a beach body commercial  = stay tuned!

ill add my two cents and say that any variation of the deadlift is one of the greatest inventions known to man...infinitely helpful when training for any athletic activity, helps stabilize the core so well

Membership contracts at 700 gyms were unfair because they tied in customers for between one and three years, the High Court has ruled.

Ashbourne Management Services Ltd drew up membership agreements and collected payments from about 300,000 customers of small gyms in the UK.

It demanded immediate payment of the full sum - often many hundreds of pounds - for the whole minimum period if people left after a few months.

Ashbourne is planning to appeal.
Lengthy Gym terms were unfair says Judge

They didn't call today so i'm gonna say she fixed it and i wont have to pay, which is good because i wont pay at all. The 30 day will be for the Contract, which ran out 2 years ago so i'm paying month to month contract free for the past 2 years, so i can quit anytime hassle free. You aint stealing my money, *****es! A guy at my work had this happen to him, he had a 1 year contract and paid upfront and they sent the collection agency after him saying they owed him alot of money, he said he isn't paying because he had a 1 year contract End Of Story and they havn't bugged him since. Hoping that happens to me, and i'm done with this. I'll never sign a gym contract ever again because of this and what i have learned about those money suckers.

I did some legs today, i probably should not have done that because my bad knee i had major surgery on, but i half assed it on the 1 knee. Is it bad if you feel it hurt? or is it bad if you don't feel it hurt, but you can hear noises in your knee? i'm told if it hurts then don't do it, mine doesn't but the noise makes me cringe. It's a noise like when you keep dipping your finger in somethng like sour cream, or something like that. Makes that light splashing noise.

I think quite a few gyms were being pretty shady when it comes to cancelling the policy.

There policies are what is wrong with the world. Company's can't let people come and go as they please. When you sign up they stab you with a double edged sword. They get you when it's going in, and they get you again when it's coming out.

i would try and modify- the guy in plyo with one leg just jogs in place during exercises that he cant do- A little pain isnt bad, but if its really bad i wouldnt push it. As for noise, everything cracks on me, i wouldnt worry about it.

I just got done with week 2 of my Insainity/p90x/jogging- Down 10lbs- hoping to drop 20lbs in first month and 50lbs by day 90

Here is me before i did P90X. I'm not a fan of taking actual pictures of my belly (ugh, i don't even like looking at it) so you'll have to guess.

Here is another of my chubby face. The other one i posted on here at one of the other pages i was 22.

Big goatee to hide the turkey neck.

Face needs some trimming... (and some surgery, rofl).

Just some more props to the kind of shape Insanity can get you into...

I went to visit my inlaws for a week and decided to run for the first time since I started these workouts (last time I ran was in Oct).

It was around 20 F and anyone who runs in this kind of weather knows it makes your lungs work harder, then add to that how hard it is to just start running after a 2 month layoff and you get the picture.

I thought I may struggle, but I found that I had to run faster than my normal pace just to get my heartbeat up. I did a few miles and didn't even feel like I got anything out of my first run, so by the end of the week I was running several miles at a full sprint and still never had to slow up or ever felt tired.

The Insanity workout is completely bad ass and I can't say enough about this routine the people at Beach Body and Shaun T put together.

Totally agree- running is easy after insanity- I usually do a 4 mile jog at night after doing insanity in the a.m-
I’m done almost done with month 1 of insanity/p9ox- I can finally do all the working outs to the end. Next month is the max DVDs- I know it’s going to be a rude awakening. Funny how people think they are in shape until they do insanity and realize how out of shape they really are. I bet 90 percent of gym rats cant complete max plyo.

@ 66- cant see your pics from work- ill check when I get home- props on posting them though- most people are to insecure. I’m planning on posting my before and after here too.

I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. For the past year I have been trying to bulk up from about 220 to 250lbs. I will be busy working in the hospital for all of 2012, so I'll have less time to eat like I normally would, so I'll be slowly cutting throughout the year.

I am at like 244 right now. I'm starting to feel kind of fat, probably like 17% body fat. I want to make it to 250 though.

Can I ask why you want to bulk up to 250? Doesn’t sound like you’re a scrawny little guy? Are you body building? Im 6’5 and I want to get down to 225 with 10% body fat. Right now I went from 298lbs down to 269lbs- for me lighter feels better. And shouldn’t you drop body fat first – then eat for mass?

250 is just a arbitrary number I picked. Yeah I'm into bodybuilding (although I say "lifting," sounds less fruity than bodybuilding). About a year ago I was like 220 at maybe 10% bf (6'3"). I guess ideally I would have like 8 more lbs of muscle. This past year I had a fair bit of free time, so I could eat/lift alot, plus my school is always giving out free lunches that I wanted to take advatange of. So I stopped cardio, lifted alot, and ate alot.

For the next few years I will be much more busy, so I wanted to use this past year to gain as much muscle (and fat) as possible (this will be the heaviest I'll probably ever be). Be as big as I'll ever be, then slowly cut over 2012. I'll clean up my diet bigtime, start up cardio, continue lifting and hopefully I'll find a decent weight and just stick with that.

This bulking-cutting cycle is pretty much the standard for lifting, I just stretched the cycles out a bit more (1 year bulking as opposed to say, 6 months). When I started bulking my bodyfat was pretty low.

Yeah I feel kind of gross at this weight, but only a few more weeks of this. My only concern is when I'm in the hospital doing rotations, all the medicine people will hate me. (big dude= obvious ortho surgeon d-bag).

225 lbs at 6'5" w 10% bf sounds like a pretty sweet goal for you.

Ya, Max Plyo is a huge smack in the face... you think you are in shape until you do that workout. I had to put my ego in my back pocket and really work through it.

Even gym rats who do circuit training won't be prepared for this.

My biggest accomplishment is being able to do the floor-switch kicks as fast as Jack - the B-boy. The first time I saw Shaun T demonstrate I was like WTF? It was hard as **** and I couldn't quite do it properly - then my triceps were burning like hell. They showed Jack and I almost threw up watching him... I was thinking to myself if I could just do the damn exercise properly I would be happy.

I just kept at it and now I can do them as fast as Jack for the entire interval. It is a great feeling when you can keep up with a B-boy.

Wow- I don’t have the discipline for that—I would probably end up gaining it and being a fat ass lol- I just need to lose it and keep it off.

Hey guys - any good routines for abs?

Right now I'm doing leg lifts, crunches, planks, and an abdominal machine where you can gradually ratchet up the weight. Seeing good results so far, but I would love to gradually step up my core work.

Olympic lifts, DLs, overhead squats, jerk support, situps. Do functional stuff, heavy, compound movements. Not hokey ab wheel garbage. Just do stuff that's heavy and hard.

That stuff is great for core strength- if you actually want to see your abs- then get your body fat percentage under 10-
