Well we won't be getting Wolski as some have speculated could happen. Traded for Michael Rozsival.

Well I don't know about that. I'm sure Rozsival is at the very least, a bit better than Kuba? I got no idea but damn that would've been sweet.

From now on, each day I'll wake up to see if Murray traded anyone. I wouldn't mind seeing Kuba and Kovalev gone.

Do we really need another underachieving forward? No need for Wolski.

Some of the things being said about him are scathing to put it mildly. No heart, no brain for hockey, doesn't use his size, floats.

I thought we should have been in there, but perhaps we dodged a bullet. At ~4 million, we'd be better off not to have any more floaters.

Wow, sounds like your describing Kuba. At this point if I had the trade option and I were Murray I would pull the trigger. You end up with a younger player who still has some upside and theres still a chance he could score some points in the league. It would also open up a hole on defence to allow Lee to be a regular, for atleast, the rest of the year. Nothing to lose.

except Wolski is signed next year at basically the same cap hit. Just shifting the problem to forward. If he were a UFA, then I'd do the deal.

That extra year on Wolski really would hurt should he turn out to suck.

And having Kuba under contract won't suck next year?

Seriously, we are the 5th worst team in the league. I am up for making changes if it won't have any effect on our salary cap and potential space.

We were going to get Wolski for Kuba but Muckler interfered and sabotaged the deal in spite...

I propose getting rid of Kuba and replacing him with Lee.

I think Kuba's gonzo long before we get to the off-season - and even if we do get to the off-season, I think he's being dealt at some point. I can't see Murray taking back someone with a contract or someone with a contract who has really bad issues with work ethic (apparently).

A pick, or someone like McGinn from SJ - or even someone like Setoguchi - who I think will eventually be dealt for Kaberle or Beachemin, but we need to continue to try to shed the salary for next year.

its possible, but I don't see many teams being interested in him with one year left on his contract

I wonder if any team will pick him up, use him as a 5/6 D, and then buy him out at 1,233,333 for the next two years....a man can dream right

Highly doubtful. Sure, Rozsival has a cap hit of $5M next season compared to Kuba's $3.7M, but Phoenix cares far more about actual salary than cap hit. Kuba makes $700K more than Rozsival does next year, and he's not as good as Rozsival either.
