I look forward to hearing about how Hodgson does with Tambellini (I'm in France and can't watch the game).

Leapt out at me as well. Bieksa is actually one of the more common opponent-killers I come across when doing those little lists.

The 'Yotes haven't been as defensively stingy this year, and though they're scoring a few more goals aren't near the offensive level of the Canucks.

Special teams are always important with the Canucks so....

Phoenix is 15th in home PK % and 11th in home PP %.

4th away record vs 24th home record

Both Coyotes' PP and PK records are ranked 22nd.

Phoenix is an older team with 11 30+ players. Canucks only have 6.

Lee Stempniak has been unstoppable with 11 points in his last 8 games.

Phoenix Coyotes will be without the star of British hockey, Vernon Fiddler.

Bieksa has no points in 7 games. Malhotra: 15.

The Coyotes just got embarrassed last night, blowing a 3 - 0 lead and allowing 5 goals in the 3rd period.

I've been wondering lately if they can really handle being a playoff team, the pressure is on tonight to see how they perform.

Hodgson + Tambellini should be interesting out there.

Both teams going into the second half of back-to-back games...anyone know their respective records in such scenarios?

I don't have the numbers but we've done very well, they haven't been doing well at all.

indeed. will be very interesting to see if it sparks anything. it's an unusual feeling for me, when the 4th line jumps over the boards and i'm actually excited about it!

This team has insane depth.

Same with me. Last game I was spending so much time looking for Hodgson, I stopped paying attention to the rest of the team.

It appears I'm wrong.

They've had far more back to back games than we have.

Updated the GDT with the Coyotes' starting lineup. Not a lot of top flight scorers, but a lot of guys who can put the puck in the net when the need arises.

First goal is going to be key in this game given how the Yotes play.

Pyatt will probably kill us like he always does.

This will be a real test for the Canucks. I regard Phoenix as a much more dangerous team than the Stars, despite their respective places in the standings. Their system and style lends itself to playoff action.

Last game against the Coyotes I thought the Canucks gave up way too much in front of their own net. Players like Pyatt and Upshall gave our defencemen a tough time, they drove the net with plenty of success.

It will be a tough assignment for our D-core, boxing out the Coyotes bigger forwards. It will be the key to the game, imo.

Korpikoski will score. Because that is how it works when we play Phoenix. I guy I barely know always has to score.

team1040 is getting boring because the Canucks are winning all the time.
There's nothing to talk about except for Hodgson.

*yawn*

Yeah, Phoenix games can be really eventful.

Bieksa getting cut, Pyatt's hit on Rome, O'Brien's own goal...

Jovo will be running people all game, too.

Oh, and not sure if it was mentioned already, but the Green Men made the trip and will have something in store. I believe it's their first official excursion.

That was Henrik's own goal, O'Brien was the only one to try and stop it from going in

What's the over/under on how many things get thrown at the Green Men? I'm in a betting mood today...

Damn...I didn't know Turris was in the NHL this year, let alone on the top line. Crazy
