I don't know about Stillman, he can play the point on the powerplay, which is nice to have but I wonder if he has anything left skating wise, we might play to much of an up-tempo style for him.

Reasoner would be the guy I'd target with a low pick or mediocre prospect.

Looks like Flyers are making room for Forsberg

Wouldn't that be grand. No waivers so instead Philly just comes in and steals him.

I just like the experience in addition to his two Cups. We don't need scoring, so I'm going for intangibles + experience. Since Toews is out of the question, I'll just have to go with Stillman

I'd like to see Montreal pick up Walker. He'd be an excellent 3rd pairing physical stay at home type that would really help clear the front of the net for Price. As we've seen Montreal get manhandled by more physical teams (namely Philly)

Kotalik, he might be an ok short term solution but Kostitsyn is our streaky top 6 player, having two would be tough to stomach...not to mention his contract runs for 2 more seasons after this one.

Cory Stillman jumps to my mind first. Erik Cole, maybe. Moulson, Miettinen, Kobasew, Glencross. Stillman is almost exactly that amount, though, and Lavi might be all over that.

Cole would cost a second or a 3rd plus mid tier prospect...other teams would be able to pay that price, so I'm guessing Philly would too...it looks like he will reach 20 goals this year...

We have no need for Kotalik. What need does he fill? Try to think before posting that.

We already have an overpaid winger with a big shot.

and Dookie..you want Jarkko Ruutu, Jones, Higgins, Reasoner but wouldn't want Arnott lollll

3 goals? Sens should claim him he has a good shot at leading the team in goals

Claiming Kotalik would be a pretty questionable move even on re-entry. He should clear easily.

That was the Sutter trade that boggled my mind the most:

Prust and Jokinen (5 mill expiring) for Kotalik and Higgins?

That was a dumb trade from the start. Encouaging for Flames fans that Feaster is at least trying to get rid of some of these contracts.

Yea but that trade was basically Prust for a cheaper Olli Jokinen who ended up playing better after a slow start to the season, Higgins who we had for like 3 months then never resigned, and Kotalik, and we all know his situation. I say Calgary got more talent but screwed over salary cap wise. But now with Higgins and Kotaliks contract out of the way id still rather have Jokinen (50 - 60 points potential) for 3 mil rather than Prust...

Kotalik does blow but at 1.5 he did have some good yrs in Buffalo and could be used as a PP Point man. It's not a crazy committment for the rest of this yr and next. Then he's a UFA

You sure I'll trade you Chris Drury for him....He's got 0 goals in 21 games and uses his intangible baseballhockey skills to bat pucks out of the air and into the stands during penalty kills for more penalties.

Bart is cheap when he sits on the bench. Walker costs nearly 3x more.

I hate these Flyers fans that just hate Walker because we traded Gagne to get him. He seriously wasn't doing too bad but we should've given him more chances to play.

He costs 1.7 million to sit on the bench. That money can be used to upgrade a position rather than lay it to waste.
