Well played. I couldn't believe what was quoted in your post either, too ridiculous to be true.

I respect your opinion too, but the changes you made to my post tell me that you've never actually watched Brisebois play!!! He made about 3 great plays a YEAR and he was very very very far from being the best Habs defencemen. He was downright painful to watch.

I'll admit, Brisebois had some offensive flair, but its hard to score when you hammer the puck into shinpads all the time.

Don't you think you're being a little tough on him?

He also has great hair.. so underrated .. I wished he had played in the 70's without a helmet

yes I also hope he doesn't crash into a wall head on.

let's just hope he's as good in avoiding contact in his race car as he was on the ice

Walker is an absolute pylon

Only thing good about him is he will drop gloves and fight

He is a terrible hockey player ,,,,,,, 1 yr was enough for me as a Hawks fan

He is a #7 dman at best and with that contract he is not worth it

Exactly. The other game, he actually took a good shot and barely missed the post. Spacek is far from bad, especially on his comfortable side.

There is a reason why these guys are on waivers, they aren't good enough to be playing and are a waste of cap space.

Henry didn't get that, but I thought with the Wild he might have been in line for some similar luck, alas. We're still talking guys on the fringes of regular NHL duty. Yes, the Habs lack size and toughness. But it doesn't mean we have to scrounge for every random facsimile of it that comes across the waiver wire.

A physically sound Walker on a 1-year deal for $600k, sure, let's take him. But that's not what's on offer. He'll pass waivers, and join Henry and a bunch of similar players in the AHL.
I agree. If he was only on the hook this year at 900k-1 mil I'd be all for giving him a look, but he is signed for 2.5 more years at 1.7 mil. TB moves him as a salary dump because they knew he was dead weight...on re-entry he might be worth picking up at 850k, worse case he ends up in Hamilton the next 2 years. He has even less hockey skill than Commodore though at a lesser cap hit.

I'm sure PG would rather trade a pick for a guy that's better and may be just a rental so we don't lose cap room next year.

We'd be better off with a 4th line winger, at least the odds of him costing goals against would be lesser.

Kotalik is also on waivers, but at 3 mil for 1.5 years and 3-0-3 in 20 games, he is not worth a look. 6-2-8 in 46 games since leaving the Rangers.

Well maybe you are too young to remember Brezzer, he was quite something.

Spacek on the Left D has been good, i have no complains since he was move back there.

The only Walker this team needs is the one with the sheriff's badge who actually pushes the Earth down when he does push "ups".
