Still can't believe Carlson didn't make the rookie portion of the all-star event.

Well that was pretty decent to watch. I'm glad they didn't have the cheesy interview for every pick.

Skinner....youngest all star in major sports history....pretty damn impressive.

There's some justice to that, but no shame...he's an All Star

Next year they should do pick a stick...obviously not with the players actual sticks since they'd be identifiable...

3 piles: last guy picked, picks the next stick for his team...to even out positions...
goalies in one pile
dmen in a pile
forwards in a pile

and then allow 2 or 3 trades.

He's not on Cam Fowler's level and hasn't been sticking out like a sure thumb like Subban, his time will come.

So my wife...a huge Green fan makes the comment to me that he's slouching, got his hands in his pants the whole time....basically that he looked a bit unpolished up there in his mannerisms. Combine that with Ovy texting on his phone slouched in his chair the whole draft....sigh....easy targets for the haters.

Just be happy they weren't also drafting coaches. We'd never have lived down the Glengarry Glen Ross/Hagen-Daanz bonanza that would have ensued.

I just heard that Kessel got traded to Team Staal for two first round picks in the 2012 and 2013 ASG Draft.

I didn't complain...I mentioned something my wife, who happens to be a huge Mike Green fan, couldn't help but notice during the event. You mad bro?

I still liked Ovy's prediction as to where he'd get drafted: "Late first round"

I'm mad bro.

Makes me laugh that even the All-Star teams know that a Leaf has no value. Only the HF posters still think they are all worthy of first rounders in return.

Mike Green will be in the fastest skater competition and on one of the skills challenge relay teams.

Ovechkin will be in the breakaway challenge and the hardest shot competition

Every AllStar/Rookie will also be in the elimination shootout.

I'm interested to see this. If he rips off something extremely hard it's going to get people talking. I do wonder if the players are half-assing it because they don't like BB.

I was hoping for props and/or an assist from Green during the breakaway comp.
