Doubt it. There has been nothing new in terms of news regarding Lanks. Even if he did come back, where would he fit in? Everyone is playing great right now. Backlund on the 4th line is even hard to justify removing for Langkow.

Can't see where he would fit either. Just wondering what his situation is. No way of knowing, but do you guys think he'll play another game in the NHL?

I thought so.

Personally, I wouldn't want Langkow back. Flames have finally hit their stride, and to replace anybody currently in the lineup with Langkow, even with the great kind of work effort he puts in, isn't worth it. He hasn't put in any practice time with the team, especially because he shouldn't.

I like the guy, but the amount of negatives involving contracts and cap space alone that he brings to the Flames team if he comes back right now far outweighs any positives he'd have on the ice.

When I went to the Flames/Blues game I was listening to the Fan on the way there and they mentioned that the doctors told Langkow that he can't do any working out (not even a light one) until March.

At this point, if he is able to live a healthy life without the symptons, it's a win.

no, no chance of Langkow being back at all... he's shut down for the remainder of the season from all working out... I honestly think his career is done

Last I heard he wasn't working out or even doing extensive/aggressive rehab. I know he is done for the season and 90% sure we wont see him again.

No.... his cap hit is spread over 82 games. If he came back for 10 games say his cap hit is pro rated.

nope... player on LTIR already count against the cap, you are just allowed to exceed the cap by their cap hit until they are ready to return... when they want to activate the player they have to clear the appropriate cap space

Either way, I would be very surprised to see Langkow come back this season or next. His injury and absence hurt this team earlier in the year imo.
